Karen passed on February 4th 2018 to a fight of AML(acute myeloid leukemia). Boren to Mary Hawkins and Donald Northrup (both deceased);  She left behind her two sons. Scott Phillip's , Christopher Smythe.  Nice who she raised as her own Mary Northrup.  To go home with her two boys that passed away as infants ( Joshua Diaz, Jason Smythe)

Grandchildren: Jai Phillips ,Ravin Phillips, Layton Larson, Amber Ishmael. 

  Brothers and sisters Barbara (Darwin) walk, David (Marsha) Northrup, Ronald (sue) Northrup, Carolyn Northrup, Charles Taylor, Mary (Lee) Hardy. 

 Also left behind her puppy Baby who she loved very much.

Karen had a heart of gold. She had a love like no other. Karen worked for DCFS for many years and fostered many Children. Also Karen was a Sunday school teacher at living word ministries and loves Park Illinois. She was also a Avon Lady.  Karen enjoyed her life and enjoy the people that were in her life. Karen love Tweety Bird and also music artist Kenny Rogers. 

Karen was never a woman to turn her back on any one in her life. If you had a problem she was always there with ears and her way to help you through.  Her love for God is what kept her fighting until she grown to tired to keep going.  

Her love is still carrying on through so many of us.  She would want us all to be with God and hope one day to see us all in heaven.   

Karen is buried at sunset memorial at the last supper in loves Park Illinois.  She is greatly missed.
