Always With You

When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears,
But be thankful we had so many good years.
I gave you my love, and you can only guess
How much you've given me in happiness.
I thank you for the love that you have shown,
But now it is time I traveled on alone.
So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
That it is only for a while that we must part,
So treasure the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away for life goes on.
And if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All my love around you soft and clear
And then, when you come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".

Obituary

Karlos Wesley was born October 16, 1994 to the parents of James M. Wesley and Fawn Jackson at Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was the third oldest of seven children. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Hampton Memorial Baptist Church along with his older brother Dorian Lorenzo Wesley.

He was educated in the Detroit and Ecorse Public School Systems. He successfully completed the eleventh grade at Ecorse High School. He participated in many afterschool activities such as basketball, chess, and boxing. Karlos was excited and inspired by what the future may bring (including higher education). Karlos had even shared with his father that he wanted to become a Registered Nurse.

He went to work with his father where he demonstrated that his hands were gifted. "Like father, like son" Baby Electrician eventually could have lead to the all around handyman! He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, sisters and family. Karlos really enjoyed entertaining anyone if it would result in laughter.

He shared himself unselfishly with the children and families of the neighborhood. He was known lovingly as the "Big Brother of Vicksburg". He was given to us for just a little while on loan.

At 17 years young he made his transition back home. The love and laughter that we all were so fortunate to experience allowed Karlos to leave residue on our hearts. He may be gone but not forgotten. We now have an additional angel watching over ALL of us.

Karlos leaves to cherish his memory his mother Fawn, father James, two sisters Jeanae and Destani, five brothers Dorian, Kenyell, Travon, Steven and Marcus, maternal grandparents April Jackson and Beryl Turner, paternal grandparents (the grandma know to him) Carolyn Broadnax whom he had a very special relationship with, James(Jean) Evans, Donald(Delores) Robertson, preceded in death grandma Barbara Ann Wesley, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of extended family and friends. (To many to name)
