Kathryn Dale Ayres, "Kathy", died April 5, age 58.  Kathy was a graduate of Fairfield High School, and The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She is survived by her brother, Larry Daniels (Mary Claire); sisters, Linda Ayres, Connie Johnson (William), all from the Birmingham, Al area. There are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kathy dedicated her life to serving others.  She was a faithful follower and servant of Jesus Christ.

Kathy and I became friends in 1978 at The University of Alabama. We lived in Tutwiler on the 7th floor. It was the best year. We stayed in touch after I left that year for several years. She was in my wedding in Oneonta. We lost touch with each other and I have been searching for Kathy. I’m heartbroken to have found her obituary. She was a special friend to me when I needed one. To know I will see her again one day is such a comfort.

Kathy was one of the absolutely sweetest souls I ever knew. I only wish I could have been an even greater friend to her than she was to me. Because we lived in different cities, God would have us supernaturally run into each other after long periods of time. He was truly involved in our friendship. She was my inspiration. She reached out to people in need and truly was a follower of Jesus Christ. Kathy, I love you so much and you are missed.

Just found out that Kathy passed away. I work with Kathy for ten years and she was a blessing to me and to everyone she came in contact with. Kathy was a true child of God.  If there is going to be a grave site service let me know so I can attend
