During World War II, she worked extensively with the USO and Red Cross entertaining and servicing where the need was great both in America and overseas. In 1947, she retired from film making following her appearance in That Hagan Girl and spent the 4 decades teaching musical at universities and colleges throughout California along with performing in live theatre.

A lovely, spirited actress with marvelous appeal, she is too little known but still selectively remembered with fondness for her regrettably few film appearances. Particularly recommended is her Peggy Ryan-like star turn in the Warner Bros. short “Swingtime in the Movies” - a noted special feature on the DVD release of “They Drive by Night.” A must see. It’s so nice to learn she lived a long, happy, fruitful life - Rest In Peace, dear lady.
