Kathy, you did such an amazing job of raising your four children. I admire you so much when Elizabeth tells me all the stories about you and the relationship that you had with your children. Unfortunately your life was cut too short but you left a legacy of how life should be lived and I am sure they are raising their children with the same integrity,honesty and your passion for fun!!!

Every day I think about you and how everything would be so different, so much better if you were still here on this earth with us. I know you are still with us in spirit, but I miss you mom and I love you.

I am sitting in my den where my travel pictures hang. One of my very favorites is of Kathy, Ev Hogie, and myself. I remember Kathy crawling up on the top bunk and giggling all the way - we 3 felt like little girls at camp. I am sure Kathy will be giggling at me in March as I am assigned to a top bunk on my upcoming cruise. Kathy - you will always hold a special warm spot in my heart.

Congratulations on being grandma again;you are missed so much by your family during these events. You have left your children a legacy of being such a wonderful role model. Elizabeth is a wonderful mother, wife and friend.

Every second of every day my heart aches because I miss you so much. You continue to inspire me to be a better person, father and husband. I thank God every day that you were my mother, and I know you are always with me in spirit. I love you Mom!

I'm so thankful I knew Kathy as a Dear Friend & all of her kids, too! Living as neighbors for years & having our kids play & grow up together leaves us with wonderful memories of Kathy. She always had a "Sunshiny-Smile" to give anyone who knew her & God's Spirit was her "Light Shining" to all of us!

I first met Kathy in 1972. Kathy's genuine smile and laugh always made me feel welcomed in her home, no matter the circumstances. She amazed me with the love, grit and patience she mustered to raise Elizabeth, David, Sara and Beth Ann.

Kathy, I will miss you when I come to visit family and friends in MN, SD and WI. But it helps to know that you are now well and safe.

To an amazing Lady who was one of the Worlds Best MOM's to so many! You grew to admire her strength and wisdom. She always made you laugh and really enjoy your life to the absolute fullest. She will be missed by so many. Huge Hugs to all her Children and Grand Children who will Miss her so.

I salute a great member of the "three amigos" who laughed their way through Alaska. Kathy was a vibrant, joyful woman and I am so happy I had the chance to become her friend. Her smile and warmth were contagious. She will be missed but never forgotten.

I only met Kathy once but I was always in awe of the wonderful woman and amazing mother that she was. Elizabeth has shared some of the memories of her Mom and she certainly provided a positive loving home for her family. Elizabeth and I are always walking to the Party Store because she is planning another fun "Gago Event!" The legacy of being joyful about life is present in Elizabeth, thank you.

The funeral will be held at Sunnyside Lutheran Church in Stacy, MN at 1pm Friday September 10th.

We have had the plesure of living next door to Kathy and two of her kids, and I can't say enough about how nice of a person she was, she was always so positive and always had that huge smile. She will be sadly missed.

Kathy was a wonderful woman and raised 4 beautiful and amazing children. She was like a mom to me in my early years, and she will always hold a special place in my heart. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, although I hope we all remember the great joy Mama Gago shared with everyone she met!

Unfortunately I didn’t really ever get to know Kathy. But I do know her son, David, very well. A parent’s most important legacy is their children. David is one of the most outstanding individuals I have ever known and a man of the highest integrity. I’m sure Kathy is very proud of him and her memory will be well represented throughout his life.

Kathy was a phenomenal lady with a bright spirit that was contagious! She began as our UPS driver and quickly became a wonderful friend! Kathy was a true friend. There is no doubt that she is in heaven, smiling down and being a guardian angel to her kids and grandchildren whom she so cherished. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Kathy but she must have been very special to have raised a daughter like Elizabeth.
