Remembering Kathy

August 22, 2015

My husband, Aldo, & I met Kathy at a friend's annual Memorial Day Weekend BBQ in Dublin, CA. That is where we also met her husband David. We remember the smiles from Kathy. Aldo & I hosted Karaoke for several years at this annual event and Kathy and her husband were always a pleasure to see. Kathy's husband, David, was always eager to sing to his family. We missed seeing Kathy this year but she will forever remain in our hearts and will live through her family and friends.

Kathy graduated before me so I don't remember her from high school, but we met at the SLHS picnics a few years ago. She was so friendly, greeting everyone and having such a great time visiting. Kathy also began attending the high school brunches at Elio's,  one in particular comes to mind because she kept changing seats so she could talk with everyone!  We invited David and Kathy over for dinner and had such a wonderful conversation that went on for hours.  We attended Susan Reneberg's wedding together and again had so much fun together.  Her bright smile and laughter will be missed.  She always brightened up the room with her personality.   I am certain that Heaven is enjoying it's newest angel and that we are truly blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know her.  To the Gin and Hom families, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Kathy graduated before me so, I don't remember her from school.  The first time I met her and David was two years ago at the SLHS Picnic at Chabot Park.  She was so friendly and full of smiles, having such a great time greeting everyone!  She began coming to the brunches we held at Elio's and enjoyed catching up with everyone who attended.  She and David came to our house for dinner and we sat and talked for hours, covering so many subjects!  She was such a joy to be around.  My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Gin and Hom families at this time.  She truly will be missed but Heaven has one of the brightest angels in it's midst and we have been truly blessed to have had the opportunity to met and gotten to know and call Kathy a friend!
Our love goes out to the family and please know that Kathy will never be forgotten!
