I have so many wonderful memories of Katie. She loved people & was the best party planner I've ever known. She had such a way of making those she cared about feel special. She gave of herself in ways you can't imagine, including shaving her head. I have so many reminders of Katie throughout my house, that I feel she is with me always. I hope you had a heavenly birthday, sharing a piece of cake with Elvis. I love & miss you more than you know. PJ (little sis)

Dear Uncle Larry,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Even though I only got to be with Aunt Katie on rare family reunions, I have memories of how sweet she was and how she liked to laugh. When I graduated high school, she and you sent me a gold bracelet that I still treasure because I lived so far away from everyone that any connections were precious to me.
There were some reunions that Aunt Katie missed due to her fear of flying by airplane and I am sorry about that missed opportunity to reconnect. Aunt Katie talked of hosting a reunion in California and we came so close to making that happen. I regret not having more time to be with Aunt Katie.
My condolences to you, Uncle Larry
   Truly yours, Leslie

my Aunt Katie was always a unique individual who did things her way in life - but she was also incredibly compassionate & giving and I wanted to be just like her. From the classy way she dressed to her selfless giving there was so much I wanted to imulate as I discoveredmy own way in life. More importantly she was my inspiration for being true to myself even if that meant being different. All that I am and the amazing relationships and life I am living come from being true to who I am. Thank you Aunt Katie for touching my life in such a profound way. I wish I had spent more time with you but every moment together was treasured. I love you & miss you Aunt Katie! You will forever live on in my heart. God Bless you and keep you till we meet again in His kingdom.

My Auntie Katie was a very sweet, generous and loving person. I have alot of good memories of our times together. If it wasnt for her (and my Uncle Larry) I would have never seen Disney World! We had such a good time. She flew me and mom down, then we drove down to Miami. We also went to Epot and Kennedy Space Center where she was attacked by fire ants.(I wont go any further with that story!) She also flew me, my mom, my Aunt Peg and my sister all out to California when they renewed their wedding vows. She was such a lovely bride and we all had a great time! Except she wasnt very happy with my Uncle Larry when he shoved a creme puff in her face and it went up her nose! She then took my mom and Aunt Peg to Hawaii with them on their 2nd honeymoon! We once took a road trip up to Michigan, then traveled back down through Indiana to Nashville, then we ended up at Graceland. We had a great time there! If anyone knew my Auntie Katie they would know how much she loved Elvis. I have a lot more memories, but there are too many to share. She always sent birthday cards over the years, and sent my son a check every year of his age. He is very sad that he didnt get to meet her, but they had many conversations on the phone. I will keep all of these memories close to my heart. I will miss her very much and love her always.....
