Early Life and Family Background

Kehinde Oluwatobiloba Olalekan Lala, fondly called 'Biggie Dabigone',  was born on Thursday, May 14th, 1981 into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Olusola Lala as one of a set of twins and the third child out of five children.
As a child, he was always there for everyone, what one could call the 'Daniel' of the house. As a peacemaker, he knew how to deal with his siblings peacefully and took time to study each one, carefully dealing with everyone at their different levels.
He always had pleasant jokes to lighten up the day, leaving everyone with cracked ribs from laughter.
He was a cooperative, gentle and loving child and always made his parents and sibling proud.

Education & Work Life

Biggie started his primary school education at Jekobosi Ideal Nursery/Primary School at Ibadan. Afterwards, he proceeded to Abadina College UI, Ibadan for his secondary education. He later went to Methodist Grammar School, Bodija, from where he graduated in 1999.
In 2002, he went to the University Teaching Hospital to study Medical Laboratory Science and then proceeded to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology to finish his Bachelor of Science degree in 2009. In 2010, he went to UCH for his internship and then went for his NYSC programme in Osogbo. He was redeployed to Ife where he served at the IHVN laboratory in OAUTHC.

He came back to Ibadan after his youth service and stayed for a few months doing the things he loved to do before working with Babcock University, Ilisan Remo between 2011 and 2012. In November 2012, he started working with PPP Lab in UCH as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. He was recently promoted to the position of Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist, making him the most senior Hematologist in the unit.

Love, Marriage and Family Life

Biggie met his wife Oreofe in UCH and they grew inseparable by the day. They spent their early days as true friends and started dating when he got into LAUTECH.

They got married on 16th March 2013 and are blessed with 2 beautiful kids, Eyitoluwabi and Eyitoluwafe. He loved his children and nurtured them with the doctrine of Christ. He was an exemplary father and always taught by practical examples, making it easy for his children to emulate him.

Achievements

Biggie volunteered as the Nigerian representative for Blood for life foundation organization based in the UK. He was the executive director of Blood Drive Initiative from inception in 2005. Blood Drive Initiative is a renowned initiative affiliated with IFBDO which is an international body bringing blood donor organizations across the world together.

He belonged to a number of professional organisations including the American Society for Hematology and the European Hematology Association. He received an award from the American Society of Hematology for participating in a research with the society.

He was a talented playwright. He wrote Pathology of Love which was staged by students of Med Lab Science during the orientation program for students who had just gained admission into the school in 2004. He was a writer with some books to his credit and an ongoing one before his demise. His published works, First Steps to Flight, Runway and Wealth Creation, are all available on Amazon.

He organized a biannual program tagged 6 degrees which involved giving clothing items, food items, books, shoes, bags to the less privileged. The 6th edition held at Iwo road roundabout. Consumables, drugs and other materials were also donated periodically at the Haematology Daycare Unit (HDCU) of UCH. Ibadan
Back to school project was also held twice which involved the distribution of exercise books and other stationery.

He was also a songwriter, a poet with many poems to his credit, a catalyst, an influencer , a futurist and an idea generator.
He recently launched his studio which he was yet to name before his passing on to glory.

Legacy

Biggie was an awesome believer of Christ and he practiced the doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ. He had a large heart and he believed the best of others. He was always ready to give another chance and the benefit of the doubt to people, even when he was hurt. 

He worked with the agape love of Christ and believed that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens. He was a great poet and wrote two books to pass on his legacy.

He was the CEO of Ibadan Property Listing, executive director of Grace & Beauty collections and owned a clothing line called Local, which is proudly Nigeria. He was also a great businessman involved in buying and selling of goods as well as services.
