Keith the gamer and late night cook

March 18, 2021
Keith use to hang out at our house in the mid 80s. He would play cards and other games sometimes all night. It would be keith, Gerald, and my brother. ( i guess they are reunite).one game that they drove me crazy with was Monopoly. They played that game as if it was real money. It was crazy. After all of their playing, they would chip in and go shopping so that Keith could cook. They loved his lasagna. He walked around with his brief case before he started cooking he would whip that white jacket and hathe out. He was a good person and friend. Sleep in peace my friend. Maybe you and my twin can get a monopoly game going.❤

To my very talented Executive Chef Kieth

I want to take out this time and Thank you a million times for your kindness and blessings throughout our life. We have shared many great memories going to chef school at Food and Maritime.. your inspirational advice will always be with me. We laughed so much, we rode together like twin brothers everyday and everything we did. Thank you for being you!! You will always be in my heart, and one day, I will meet with you again soon.. Rest well, and be at peace, I love you Brother, Julius Da Baker

Always and forever...

I think Keith may have sung "Always and Forever" a thousand times!
At Weddings, parties, engagements, that was his song, and I will never forget his singing.  Keith was a jokester, prankster, a teaser, and always made us laugh, so it was difficult to take him seriously.  He teased me relentlessly about the song "I'm leaving on a jet plane.."  Here 50+ years later it still makes me laugh.
We had a fun childhood and we can thank our parents for it.  But life got challenging as we got older, and we had our burdens and crosses to carry.
I'll Always and Forever remember you, Keith, for your humor, passion for cooking, and most importantly your love for the Lord.
May God grant you eternal rest, my dear cousin.

I have one story, it's about my brother Keith's passion for cooking. It was the 80's, I was working at National Yellow Pages, at 1600 Broadway. Keith was going to school at Food And Maritime High School. We were having a party at work, we were always having a party, I mentioned it to Keith, and he said that him and his crew could cater our party for $75.00 and he did, he had everything, plates, utensils , the food, napkins, ice, cups and beverages. On the day of the party, I went to his school, it was only 2 blocks from my job. Went in and found Keith in a chefs hat and jacket, very professional. Keith told me everything was ready to go and had his boys help me to a cab, the food was great, and he was only in the ninth or tenth grade...
