Dear Lynnelle and Family:

The entire Shiloh Baptist Church family joins me in expressing our deepest sympathy to you and your family in the passing of your beloved brother, Keith Alexander Skerritt Sr,. In times of grief, we can sometimes find ourselves overwhelmed with emotions. Heaviness and deep feelings of sorrow well up in our hearts and it can seem as though comfort is beyond our reach. However, as Jesus Christ tells us, “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4).

The death of a loved one is never easy to bear, but we know our God is a gracious God, who promised to never leave us, nor forsake us. And although we must endure trials and tribulations, we also know that our Lord is our comforter through it all. Cherish the life of your loved one and all that he has meant to you and your family and know that he is at peace.

We pray that the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will give you continued guidance for the days ahead. In time, may you find healing for your sorrows and be able to truly cherish the loving memories of your loved one.

Faithfully Yours in Christ Jesus,

Deacon James Davis and
The Members of Shiloh Baptist Church of Plainfield, NJ

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Words fail to express my deep sorrow for the sudden loss of my cousin Keith. There is a trail of beautiful memories, your smile; a devilish twinkle in your eye; and always your parting words, God bless. You will be missed. May your soul rest in peace.

My Dear Nephew Keith,
We are saddened that our Dear Lord summoned you to be with him so soon, but we are thankful that the family could travel to Barbados and my party in Maryland in 2019. We had an enjoyable time during those visits.
Peaceful rest to you and those who have gone before.

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. SEPARATED TOO SOON!

There are so many awesome experiences and stories that my twin brother Keith and I shared that I could have wrote about. But I decided to share with you my most recent encounter .
Friday March 05, 2021 I got up at 1:30 in the morning as I normally do before I go to work to read my Bible in the kitchen . As I proceeded to sit down I immediately start hearing loud banging noises right behind me coming from the refrigerator and pantry area. So I jumped up to investigate where could that noise be coming from. Asking myself who would be making all that noise so early in the morning. The only other person home with me was my wife and she was still sleep. So I grapped my phone and started recording the loud banging noises as proof so my wife didn’t think I was losing my mind. Once I had enough evidence I sat back down. Immediately the lights in the kitchen began to flicker vigorously . Then before you knew it everything stopped. I took a few minutes to evaluate what just happened. Then I prayed then continued to read my scriptures.
On the drive in to work I shared the crazy experiance with my wife. We didn’t have a clue on what all of that meant . So we went about our day.
Right about 11:00am while on the phone with the owner of my company I get a incoming call from my brother Vance. I text him I'm on the other line can I call you right back. Then two minutes later my sister Lynnelle calls me. Right then and there I told myself Keith passed away. I immediately called Vance back praying that my intuition wasn’t true but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
Several hours later while talking to Vance on the phone he revealed to me that someone stated that they been calling Keith cell phone since 1:30am thur 9:00am. They said he always picks up the phone. It was at that moment when the light bulb went off in my head. (LOUD NOISES FLICKERING LIGHTS 1:30 IN THE MORNING) Later that afternoon Vance confirmed the miss phone calls starting at 1:30 in the morning from Keith’s cell phone.
That was my twin Keith Alexander Skerritt Sr. saying his final goodbyes. Until we meet again!
Like you always use to tell me “ I LOVE YOU LIKE PIGS LOVE SLOP” !!!!

Keith Skerritt Sr. ......... gone way too soon.

Just barely wrapping our heads around this...

We should all be preparing to relax and enjoy retirement, enter our 60s, and laugh at the aches & pains, loss of hair, and need for glasses. We should not be saying goodbye just yet.

Your "life of the party" attitude and eternal smile will never be forgotten. We will take care of Kelvin, your twin. He and the rest of your siblings miss you terribly. You rest in peace.

Well.... we know you, so take that rest after the party we're sure you'll arrange with Uncle Lionel, Auntie Gwen, Grandpa Skerritt, Grandpa Mac, Aunt Ruby, Aunt Gloria, Uncle Mert, Uncle Sonny, Ian, Curtis, and Lamont.

Then you rest. "All the way Up!"

I'm still very numb as a result of Keith's untimely transition. We're talking about someone who projected his own special kind of 'SPARKLE' in this life. Over the years we were consistent running partners from boys into men...we were 'family'. The quintessential charmer, good time guy and whimsical joker. I'm certain that those of us who were fortunate to know Keith...will agree that he left this life way too soon. Rest In Peace Keith....You Are All The Way Up!
