I know it has taken me a while to post on this... yeah I know it been 3 1/2 years but I couldn't find the words to describe how I feel and felt. This girl right here was honored with an amazing, thoughtful, and caring dad that every girl wish she had. The thought of you gone and thinking of your 4 years coming up is unbelievable, I never thought this was going to happen till it happened on April 2nd,2015 at about 3 on a rainy Thursday afternoon. I say that my siblings and I, at such a young age shouldn't have dealt with a tragic accident like this one. This accident has made my family stronger and happier, it made me happier because I learned that there is no time to life sadness and regret, you just have to live life to the fullest even though things like this might stop us in life we can still get threw it stronger than before. My dad made my life complete with helping me with softball, learned to fish, hunt, cook, make reindeer food, helped me understand NASCAR, and many more things that other girls wish their dads could teach them. I got lucky with my dad because no way any other dad would be as good as my dad. I'm just glad that I got to live 12 1/2 long years with my old man. Just know dad that I'm still proud to call you my dad and I love you more than anything I have ever loved before. R.I.P. Dad you will never be forgotten.

Keith,
Luckily, my family had the pleasure of living next door to you and Amber and your spunky girls and wild Carter. Y'all were our first neighbors, and no other neighbor will ever measure up to how awesome y'all were. Sometimes I'd look out the window of that house to see you cutting our grass for us and then 2 steps behind you was little Carter pushing his lawnmower, wanting to be just like his Daddy! LeeAnne just loved you! When we came to Cadance and Cayla's birthday party and LeeAnne was overwhelmed with the amount of people in costumes she reached for you and your friendly face. You and Amber were always full of stories, truths, and advice for me and Michael and we never got to tell you thank you and how much it helped us. You left behind only good memories for us to think about, 3 very friendly and loving children, and a wife who is so kind and helpful, always. That in itself says a lot about the kind of person you were. We wish you were still here to be with your family, but what you did for them while you were here was so great, and will last a lifetime for them. We will be missing you here.

I remember running around with Keith and Amber and a bunch of other good people back when we were teenagers! That was years ago! Oh the memories I will hold dear forever! Then about 8 years ago, my sister married Amber's uncle Pete and I would often see Keith, Amber and the kids at family get togethers. Last year, Keith and Amber would come hang with Casey and me from time to time. I remember the pool party they came to! Keith still had selfies of Amber and me on his phone and we totally forgot about that until about 3 weeks ago at my sister's house and he reminded us! In fact, that was the last time I saw Keith. I remember he was so excited about his truck and asking if I has seen it. And me and Cayla kept blowing bubbles on him with our bubble wands and laughing. I remember sitting on the couch with Amber and Keith and talking about how they were gonna have a date night that night b/c the kids wanted to stay with grandparents. He was an amazing father and a loving husband and just a genuinely good person. I will miss him very much and am grateful to have been his friend. My heart breaks for Amber and the children and my prayers go out to them and the entire Summerlin family during this painful time. RIP Keith!

My childhood friend and cousin....

April 4, 2015

Keith was my childhood friend. Most days we would be seen together with our siblings riding 4-wheelers, playing in the creek, jumping on the trampoline or whatever else cool ideas we came up with. He and Natae were either at our house or we were at theirs... One day in particular was my 12th birthday. I had jumped on the back of the 4-wheeler with him and I was barefooted while he took off in his usual fast style doing fishtails... After a few feet of riding I noticed my foot was covered in red and caked on dirt. He looks down and says, "your bleeding"! He drove me back home and went to get his dad who then came to look at it. I had cut my foot from a stick in the road. I was taken to the emergency room where they cleaned it up and put 7 stitches in. While my uncle stayed back with the kids that were there for my birthday. To this day you can still see the scar and the place where the stitches were. I have always said I carry a piece of him around with me every day. Now I truly cherish this scar and now have one on my heart. There are so many stories I could tell of him and Natae... I am reminded of one when my sister would babysit us in the summer and we had the idea to fill up the bath with cold water because we were hot...lol or when he would run around the house singing, "don't mess with my toot toot"! We were a mess and we loved every bit of it... Him and Natae were my childhood friends and my cousins... He will be missed and remembered for being a great friend.
