Faithful and loving - Father's Day

June 8, 2010

Father's day is quickly approaching and I remember when we had Anthony - oh how proud you were that you had a "son" to carry on your name as only you would say.  Well, as you know, he has lived up to all of your expectations.  You know that Anthony is a GOOD boy, always respectful and cheerful and loving and kind.  All the things parents are very proud of.  You did good Dad.  YOU were a great father, husband, son, brother, friend and always there for ANYONE who needed you.  I know you are with your Lord now.

And then eight years later, we adopted Tony, you were hesitant, but I wanted him so bad and you allowed me to have my way.  Be with him in spirit.  He needs you more than you know.

 Love you, always, Nad.

Faithful and Loving

May 20, 2010

Hi Honey - here I am writing memorials - if we could only talk about things, even though some of it was just mundane stuff.  What I would not give just to hear your voice and that laugh of yours.  You were always the optimistic one - believing - your faith amazes me.  I can now look back and say - yes - you were truly faithful to God and your family.  You are my angel and I know that you are looking down on me and the boys.  I miss our phone calls in the morning and evenings. I miss hearing your voice.  Just missing you.  Love you always, Nad.

I miss you sooooo much.  I am still waiting for you to call me to come and pick you up at the truck stop.  It is still like you are on the road and you will be home soon.  God, how I miss you.  Wishing I could tell you how much I love you and wishing you were here - your 53rd birthday is coming up.  We looked forward to growing old and enjoying our old age and grandchildren.  I know with every fibre of my being that you would have made a GREAT grandpa.

Faithful and loving

April 23, 2010

My husband - loving and faithful.  I remember our first meeting at the "Club Discotech" in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  You were in the service and I swore that I would never marry a serviceman.  What did I know.  I had never met you.  You were there celebrating your birthday with your friends back in 1979 and I just happened to be meeting some friends.  There you were with your big bright smile and talking stuff.  That was a chance meeting that lasted over thirty years.  We fell in love.  You took me to meet "Big Mama" because you were so sure that I was the "ONE."  We took that big step in November 1979 and never looked back.  God gave us a beautiful son four years later.  YOU WERE A GREAT DAD.  We were blessed to have you.  Always thoughtful, you touched so many people.  You were always so friendly.  Spoke with everything and everyone.  If I had to be honest with myself - sometimes I disliked how very friendly you were, but you always reminded me that you were from the country and you just loved to talk.  Boy did you ever.

To be continued - - - - -

Love, Nar

My Fondest Memory

April 22, 2010

I will never forget the first time I met you.  It was when Steve and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary with you guys.  As nervous as I was about meeting "the fam"  :-)  you welcomed me into the fold, as your sister, right away.

Your chemistry, gentle smile and hugs made me feel right at home, right away.  You opened your heart and yourself to me, and I will be forever grateful.

Of course, I can't tell this story without elaborating abit on the wonderful time we had with the surprise anniversary party and cake that you all threw Steve and I.  We never laughed so hard, I even think I might have pee'd on myself that day - I no doubt remember my stomach muscles being so sore from laughter.  I think it all started with our discussion of "blummers" LOL!

Bringing in the New Year with you, in Cali, @ my sisters house, with family, will forever be a great memory of mine as well.  Lots of convo and food as we ran between the back porch, and huddled in the garage to grab a beer or smoke a cigerette (which I pray to get rid of some day soon)!

I too, will miss your wonderful advice!  "You know what I mean?" (smile) as we laughed and talked.  You always had a nack for making people laugh.  Steve says you missed your calling to be a "comedian".

I have to say our visit with you and the fam in Atlanta was nice too.  You so enjoyed grilling outside and making that barbeque with your "special sauce"!  You were so full of smiles that week.  Just kicking back and enjoying our families.  And, once again - as we so often did, we stayed up all night talking and laughing until the sun came up in the morning.

You welcomed me into the family from the start, and you were always there for me.  You never made me feel like a sister-in-law, but like your little sister.  I will miss your presence, but these memories will stay with me forever, and will always bring a smile upon my face!  You were a great brother!   I will miss you!

Enjoy the light my brother, you are at peace!

Our Dearest Son:

April 22, 2010

Our Dearest Son:

We thank God for you. We thank God for the blessings He gave us for you having been birth. God not only blessed us as your parents, but He blessed us with your beloved family.  We have been so blessed to have  a son like you.

We want you to know these things:

    *    You are a man of God.
    *    You not only carry your Bible, you study your Bible.
    *    You have a clean heart, a Godly spirit and you are of good character.
    *    You are always responsible and accountable.
    *    You have not only common sense but you have wisdom.
    *    You are always strong for your family and a great "head of household."

You picked for your wife a virtuous woman  and to be the mother of your children. What a wonderful choice. Kel, you have always been a man of great respect and you have had that same respect for others.

We just loved how you and your  wife work together as a team, such a wonderful inspiration to your children and to us, all  of that pleases God. We are so happy the both of you taught your children to be responsible loving and respectful children. You teach your family to fear and love God.

If God should ever separate the two of you, the foundation has been laid for a strong   family.

We love you Son. We will always appreciate you and may God bless you richly.
