I will never forget the first time I met you. It was when Steve and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary with you guys. As nervous as I was about meeting "the fam" :-) you welcomed me into the fold, as your sister, right away.
Your chemistry, gentle smile and hugs made me feel right at home, right away. You opened your heart and yourself to me, and I will be forever grateful.
Of course, I can't tell this story without elaborating abit on the wonderful time we had with the surprise anniversary party and cake that you all threw Steve and I. We never laughed so hard, I even think I might have pee'd on myself that day - I no doubt remember my stomach muscles being so sore from laughter. I think it all started with our discussion of "blummers" LOL!
Bringing in the New Year with you, in Cali, @ my sisters house, with family, will forever be a great memory of mine as well. Lots of convo and food as we ran between the back porch, and huddled in the garage to grab a beer or smoke a cigerette (which I pray to get rid of some day soon)!
I too, will miss your wonderful advice! "You know what I mean?" (smile) as we laughed and talked. You always had a nack for making people laugh. Steve says you missed your calling to be a "comedian".
I have to say our visit with you and the fam in Atlanta was nice too. You so enjoyed grilling outside and making that barbeque with your "special sauce"! You were so full of smiles that week. Just kicking back and enjoying our families. And, once again - as we so often did, we stayed up all night talking and laughing until the sun came up in the morning.
You welcomed me into the family from the start, and you were always there for me. You never made me feel like a sister-in-law, but like your little sister. I will miss your presence, but these memories will stay with me forever, and will always bring a smile upon my face! You were a great brother! I will miss you!
Enjoy the light my brother, you are at peace!
