Isiah 40: 28-31. Mr. Takang KHA waited for the LORD and renewed his life with strength, he has mounted up with wings like eagles, he shall not be weary, he shall walk and not faint in the LORD'S Kingdom.

Today is your 76th birthday and I come to you to wish you continued peace and rest and to draw strength from your goodness and kindness. I also use this opportunity to remind all of us and the family that though you are physically gone but your spirit remains and guides us. We will meet again till we part no more!!

After 9 years, it feels like is yesterday. Papa, we continue to wish you a peaceful rest in your new world after a great service here on earth. I still think of you daily, our outings in Fundong, experiences in Yaounde, the lessons learned and the life I have. You shall always be remembered and continue to look over the whole family.

What a painful experience, even after a year it is still heart-breaking to think about it. In those yesteryears when we were academically groping to find our paths, Pa Takang beamed a light that brought Geography to life. The words of L. Grossman "Gone too soon" reflect the real concern that rare specimens of his ilk have not and may never be replaced. RIP Pa Takang.

Even after many years of your physical exit, the memories are fresh like it was yesterday. I will never forget the life experiences we we had, filled with true love good heart and personal connection. I do reflect on that always and it shapes my path forward and I am burning those flames in my own way. You continue to be my hero and I will continue to do just what you would have wanted.

Papa,

    A year has gone by, yet your memories are still fresh on our minds
             Just like yesterday
    We can still hear your voice  
            Just like yesterday
    Asking us how each an everyone was doing
            Just like yesterday
    You asked how Mami was doing
            Just like yesterday
    You asked me to greet the children
            Just like yesterday
    You told me all at home were doing fine
    Everything always seemed fine on your end
    Even on your sick bed, all was fine.
    We could hear it from your voice, you were not your usual self,
    But you assured us all was well. 
   You never let any of your children see a tear roll down you eye. 
   You never let us know you were in so much pain,
   You did not give us the opportunity to share in your pain,
   Because you loved us so much, unbearable pain
   Only God could provide relief.
   We may be sad, yet  happy that you are resting from all your troubles.
   Your memories will remain with us forever.
   You shall be remembered for all you have done.
   We mourn; your wives, your children, brothers and sisters, your friends
   Your students, church members, meeting groups
   Your enemies? No, you never had any!
