Kenneth's Journey

April 3, 2018

As the sixth child in a family of seven children, Kenneth was ebullient and diligent; full of love, respect, and compassion.

Born in Yaounde, Cameroon on the 18 February 1983, Kenneth completed his primary education in Ngaoundere before moving to the Bilingual Secondary School Ngaoundere where he started his secondary education. He later on enrolled into the Govermnent  Bilingual High School Bamenda, where he obtained his O'level certificate. The year was 1999.

Thereafter, he moved to the Cameroon Protestant College (CPC), Bali, in the North-West region of Cameroon where he obtained his A'level certificate in 2002. He then gained admission in the University of Buea, Cameroon, where he completed a Bachelor Degree in Political Sciences in 2005. This was in alignment with his child hood ambition to eventually work with the United Nations.

The move of the family to the USA informed Kenneth's move to the USA in 2006. While seeking for new avenues to advance himself, Kenneth was hit by the challenging discovery of a tumor in his brain, which was discovered after a fatal road accident whereby he passed-out on the steering of his car. The Spirit of the Lord miraculously stirred his car into safe grounds without any harm to any of the other road users. Well wishers rushed him to the hospital, and, by the Grace of God, Kenneth regained consciousness.

For his remaining years on earth, following this accident, kenneth will live with the reality of having a brain tumor. This will shatter his professional aspirations and deprive him of his youthful years as he battles with re-occurring brain tumors, numerous surgeries, short-term memory loss,  episodic unconsciousness, among other challenges. This will equally increase his understanding of God's mercies and God's purpose in his life, leading to his interest to contribute in setting-up a Brain Tumor Foundation where he can share his stories and inspirations with other brain tumor patients.

For almost a decade, family and friends have been privileged to be part of Kenneth's journey. A journey which reflects that of a young man who exhibited an inner strength from the Lord in his fight against his brain tumor and associated challenges.

Unlike many other brain tumor patients, God gave Kenneth many years of love and happiness until his final days.

Kenneth leaves behind a loving wife and a new sister in the family. Her support and love has significantly contributed to the joy he experienced all these years.

As a family, we celebrate his journey on earth even though he is no longer with us.

Through Kenneth, we witnessed God's miracles on earth; re-affirmed to us in many ways and on several occassions.

We exhale in the fact that he brought the family closer together, and most importantly, closer to God.

He hope we will transform some of his final aspirations into reality.

We will forever treasure his memories.

Join us in bidding him farewell!
