MAYERSON, KENNETH K.
Kenneth K. Mayerson, age 86 of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday December 29, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Mayerson was born in Bridgeport, a son of the late Stanley and Helen Sara (Kane) Mayerson, and was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Mayerson was associated with AVCO- LYCOMING as a Flight Test Engineer, and was a co-owner of the L. T. Dana Advertising Company. His greatest satisfaction came from working for the Boy Scouts of America, and was the Greater Bridgeport Area District Executive. Mr. Mayerson later became the proprietor of G.T.O. Carpet until his retirement. He is survived by his beloved wife Nora Silverman Mayerson, his devoted children, Steven Mayerson of Bridgeport, Eric Mayerson and his wife Wendy of Brookfield, cherished sister Barbara Perlman, and by his adored grandchildren Aaron, Emily, Jacob and Sierra. Mr. Mayerson was also pre deceased by his brother, Chester D. Mayerson. Services will take place on Monday (TODAY) December 31, 2012 at 1:00 PM from Congregation B'nai Israel 2710 Park Avenue in Bridgeport, with interment following at Loyalty Cemetery on Burroughs Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation B'nai Israel, The Boy Scouts of America, or to O.R.T. America Fairbridge Chapter. Shiva will be observed at the Mayerson residence in Bridgeport on Monday following services, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
