Kermit Hobbs, age 82, of Vestavia passed away August 25, 2019 at Aspire Physical Recovery Center in Hoover. He was preceded in death by his parents William Ira and Lucy Webb Hobbs and seven brothers William, Mike, Homer, Pat, Howard, James Paul and Robert and his sister Aural Nell Walpole.

Kermit is survived by his three children David Hobbs (Kathy), Kim Murphy (Ed), and Mary Hobbs (Scott), his five grandchildren, Chase Murphy, Micah Murphy (Madison), David Hobbs (Lauren), Alex Hobbs and Sterling Hobbs, his five great-grandchildren, Logan Murphy, McKenzie Murphy, Mary Kate Murphy, Cole Murphy and Ella Grace Murphy, two sisters Sarah (JT) Moore and Mary (Charles) Cornelius and numerous nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at the home of Mary and Charles Cornelius on August 29th from 2pm until 4 pm. The address is 1338 Berwick Drive Birmingham, AL 35242.
