I’m so very saddened to hear Owen is gone. I used to be one of his managers when he worked at Embassy Suites as a bartender. Owen took care of a countless number of guests weekly at a high volume bar. He was very outspoken and witty. I remember he would get sick often during his shift but we never knew why, makes sense now. Rest In Peace Owen

Kevin, Kal-O, always had a light around him. I never encountered him when he wasn't warm or friendly or without a smile.
He embodied one of our Fraternity's most cherished and yet difficult ideals. The acceptance of others with different temperaments, talents, and convictions.
Kevin was a performer and fearless at public speaking. I am happy to see that he chased those dreams.
A select few of us got to see outstanding performances behind locked doors of  secrecy as he brought the most important lessons of our Sacred Ritual to life. I hope those of us who did see remember and appreciate.

So tonight I sip to you Brother Owen:
I sip to times at The Office
I sip to times at The Amsterdam Cafe
I sip to The Lucky Cigarette, a story I have been telling for near 30 years
I even sip to us getting mugged on the Southside of Birmingham together
