His Life
February 21, 2019

Kevin Rapp, our Head of Security, passed away on February 21 from unexpected complications following surgery the week before. He was 42. For the past 16 years, Kevin dedicated himself to making the Museum a safe place, for its art, staff, volunteers and guests, first as a security officer and eventually as head of the department. He did so with his uniquely calm and gentle manner; never raising his voice, always treating everyone with respect. His sterling example and reassuring presence will be sorely missed by all of us.  We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Ami, and their three young children, Robert, Caroline and Vivian.
