Today, I remember the story of beloved Dith Pran. He was a loyal friend, passionate worker, a victim, but most notably, Pran was a survivor. He was a fighter. Words can not even depict the situation Pran was faced with in his motherland, but in his honor, we shall never forget, or degrade, the events bestowed upon him by the Khmer Rouge. We must continue his work of restoring relief.

As Sydney Schanberg Would Say...

June 12, 2013

Pran was the best partner a reporter could ask for.  He made quick decisions in times of disruption, and always watched out for our welfare.  Dith Pran shares the credit of releasing the horrors of the Cambodian Genocide to the public.  He was an honest, compassionate man.  He is one of the strongest people I know, and the world respects him for that.  He is a fine example of bravery and giving what it takes to come out alive.  I am ever so thankful that Dith Pran returned to America, just like he promised he would.  He will forever and always be in my dearest memories, thoughts, prayers, and of course, Pran has a place in my heart.
