Noah,
I want to share with you the type of person your mom was.
Kim was the best of friends. Our friendship faced many challenges (parent disapproval, years of not seeing each other etc) but no matter what, Kim was there for me. She would do anything in her power to support me. She was always encouraging. One story to illustrate the type of friend she was-- In high school she and I were best friends but at some point she began to hang out with the older "cool" kids. One day, a group of us was walking back from lunch and I overheard the "coolest" boy in the school whisper a negative comment about me and he asked her why she bothered to hang out with me. Your mom didn't care that he was the coolest boy in school. She put him in his place and told him that if he had a problem with me, then he had a problem with her because I was her friend. That's the type of friend your mom was. She had your back no matter what.
Kim loved to laugh. She had a great sense of humor. Some of my fondest memories were spent with your mom. She was always up for an adventure, and when you embarked on an adventure with Kim, you were in for a fun time.
Kim always looked on the bright side. Your mom suffered. She experienced hard times. She felt deep pain. But through it all, she was always smiling. Always hopeful. Always kind.
Kim loved you Noah. You brought so much joy to her life and she absolutely loved being your mother. After you were born, not a conversation went by where she wasn't bragging about you. She loved your sense of humor. She loved your talent for art. She loved every part of you.
Your mom was an incredible person and she is dearly missed. ❤️
