Kimani Ahriyon Foster was born

On August 31, 2000. She had a passion for dance. She started dancing in Junior High School at MS 113. She graduated and attended to Brooklyn High School of the Arts, where she continued dancing. Durning that time she also wanted to dance in her spare time. She and her mother searched for a dance school and came across Lotus Creations Academy. She auditioned for the school and made the cut. Upon joining the dance school, she immediately connected with the other students and the faculty staff, they became her second family. She joined the travel team where she traveled to Miami and Chicago. With time, she became the Teachers Assistant and helped with teaching the younger children. She assisted in an after school program at MS 113 and with the Lotus Little Mini’s. She was so passionate and considered them her little babies. Kimani also found interest in cosmetology, youtubing and was a big fashionista. She loves taking pictures and making videos. Kimani enjoyed being with her friends, traveling with her family and enjoyed living her best life. Kimani was genuine, fun, loving, caring, kind and sweet. Kimani was a mentor to many people and a one of a kind loyal friend. Kimani had a radiant smile that would brighten up any room. She brought joy to every one she met and touched the lives of many. To know Kimani is to love her.

Kimani graduated from Brooklyn High School of the Arts in 2018 where she majored in Dance. She then attended the College of Staten Island for 2 years majoring in Liberal Arts. There was so many different opportunities that the world had to offer so she was indecisive as to what she actually wanted to start a career in. Towards the end of her sophomore year, she decided that she would transfer to John Jay for Criminal Justice. She majored in Criminal Justice  (Crime Control and Prevention). In addition, Kimani wanted to eventually start her own business selling bundles of hair and eye lashes. She wanted to expand her business all over the world.

Unfortunately her life was cut short. On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, Kimani was killed in a tragic car crash with 2 of her friends, one of them being her best friend. The driver who was speeding and driving recklessly survived. Her unexpected death brought so much sorrow and pain to all who knew and loved her. As she would always want to help others, her name and memory will always be kept alive.
