Her Life

The Beginning:

July 25, 2012

September 25, 1979:
After finding out I was pregnant, and having extreme morning sickness 24/7, I was devastated when I had a miscarriage on March 4, 1979.  I went into a depression.  When I had my 2-wk check-up, after the loss, the Dr. ordered some tests, and we found out that I was still pregnant with you! For some reason, I had lost your twin, but thankfully, you survived!
You were born on your maternal great-grandmother Nannie Briggs' 80th birthday.
We brought you to our home in Stayton, Oregon, to join your father & I, and 2 older sisters, Tammy, who was 6yrs old, and Julie, who was almost 4.
All you did 24/7 was cry, and want to nurse. Your sisters wanted to send you back, and trade you for a new puppy.  After nearly dying trying to get you here, we said, "NO!"
After keeping me up for days, exhaustion had set in, so our neighbor and friend, Nancy, came to take you next door to her house, so I could rest. Bless her heart!
When a bit older, you refused to give up your pacifier.  Your dad "blackened" the rubber part, and you took it, looked at it, said "yucky", and thankfully, gave it up for good.  Your sisters were really getting tired of the "you throw it down, and they pick it up" game.  They both literally ran together to throw the "binky" as far away from you as they could get it!
