I will miss my grandpa a lot. He made me feel like a princess any time I spoke with him and It was by the way he addressed me "BEAUTIFUL LADY". I wonder who will call me that now? Either way, I remain my Grandpa's beautiful lady. Rest on in heavens dwelling place grandpa.

Upon marrying into the family, you were welcoming and great. You were more of a father than a father in-law. You were someone in whom I, even though you’ll let it out but in a very systemic and loving way. I could not just confide in , but do some aproko every now and then. There is this emptiness everywhere without you, a hole only you can fill. You left your mark on this earth Daddy and I am inspired by such actions. I can only pray to be as great a person as you. I pray that where you are now, you are at peace and away from all the troubles that were here on earth. We love you but God loves you more. ‘Adieu Daddy’

Grandpa, a great man he was to all of us. I could plan on going upstairs to say hi briefly, and that would turn into a conversation we have for hours, whether it was something upsetting in the news, or even some old pictures about distant relatives who i didn't know of, he would always gladly educate me about them. No matter how old someone is, there is always this part of you that wishes that they were still with us. Grandpa was always accepting of the fact that the day he will pass on was coming. It was obvious he never feared death And at times i like to imagine his last words being something like“Don't grieve for me, for now i am free;i am following the path God laid for me.

I always saw my grandpa on a video chat. He called me professor and we did this thing where we did some sort of high five. I genuinely felt happy when he did it. And I remember on my birthday, we did it 10 times instead of 3. Now I don't feel the same. I don't have that feeling anymore. Though, I feel as if he's still here somehow, alive and well. Like he's still out there, waiting for me to find him. Well, thanks for the experience, grandpa. We will never forget you.

Daddy/Grandpa❤, as we call you, that you will be missed is an understatement. You represented family-pride, strenght, wealth of knowledge, truth, continuity, unity, direction, stability and transparency. You wanted family togetherness and encouraged us to do likewise. You taught and shared valuable lessons with us all. It's hard but death is inevitable...so we Celebrate you Sir. We honour your memory in rememberance of all you stood for and meant to us. Your legacy speaks ! Thank you for the love, support, direction and efforts to show us the children/grandchildren the right way to go. Thank you for the get-togethers and great wisdom nuggets you gave us. O we find solace in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Rest on in perfect peace...you will be indeed greatly missed Daddy.

Tribute from Mrs R.A Adade.
Hmmm, I called you daddy and you replied to me, madam. ☺
You were a quiet philanthropist, oh, death is inevitable, everyone owes that debt. Yours only came when we least expected it. Though you have gone forever, your memories are sweet and unforgettable.
We were more of a family than an in-law, even though you objected to our children's union at the beginning, but our heavenly father already ordained it. I am thankful to God that my daughter Kemi did not disappoint you.
Memories of the few months you spent in America with Bayo, Kemi and your grand Children were extraordinary and unforgettable.
As I remind us that death is the key to eternal life, I pray that your soul enjoys eternal rest.
Adieu, Adieu, Adieu Daddy.

For those who don't know me,my name is Kevin Ige; I am Koffi Fidelis’s Grandson. On behalf of my Grandma, my parents, siblings and the rest of our family, I humbly write to comment on Grandpa's braveness. He had the pride, courage and determination of a Lion. He wanted things done his way because he believed he could do it himself. This is a step my younger brother is adopting. He also wants things done his way. Oh! I remember an incident that transpired between these two. Grandpa said “look at your big head” after my brother had made his table untidy. This made everyone laugh but then my brother snapped back at him and said "Hey! see you! look at your own big tummy” standing and pointing at his stomach. This made Grandpa angry but admitted that someone had stood up to give him a reply and this birthed the name my brother got through out Grandpa’s life time ( Baba Agba AKA YOUR EXCELLENCY) We will miss you Grandparie has you were renamed by him too. Rest in peace.

HONESTDEAL INSURANCE BROKERS LIMITED
TRIBUTE TO OUR BRIGADIER-GENERAL KOFFI FIDELIS (RTD)

In the words of the French Emperor, Napoleon 1, Men are powerless to secure the future; institutions alone fix the destiny of all Nations.

In this tribute, we want to say, Men are powerless to secure life, and God alone fixes the destiny of all lives. Brigadier-General Koffi Fidelis was for many years our client directly and indirectly. My company handles his insurance matters and I saw him last on 24th January 2023 when I asked him about his health, he responded “ I thank God I am a bit better, but my energy is nowhere near its usual self. However, I believe in the Lord that very soon in His own time, He will take me there.”

I told him Papa, you’re going to be around for us because you haven’t seen my grandson yet and we both laughed over the joke. But on this particular day I called him for an appointment to see him but he wasn’t picking his calls and knowing Papa well you dare not visit him if you’re not on an appointment. Alas, I was shocked when the news of his passage to glory was broken to me by my sister who resides in Aguda, Surulere on February 27th February, 2023.

For over the years of relating with him, I found in him, a personality that doesn’t ignore the smallest detail. He pays diligent attention to all business aspects to ensure quality service. He was a strict disciplinarian but at the same time, he is as gentle as a dove. In him, I found and imbibed the “ CAN DO IT ” attitude to every challenge. He had that sweet and subtle way of passing instructions that you cannot but help carry out. The General taught me that leadership begins with having a good heart, which in turn produces burdens that generate the passion that will sharpen the vision.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, at Capernaum, called his Twelve disciples and sounded a note of warning that “if anyone wants to be first, he must make himself the servant of all,” meaning we should go back to service positions. Positions may give us recognition in the world but service marks us out as citizens of heaven. General Koffi Fidelis was a candidate for heaven through his selfless service to her family, relations, friends, and professional colleagues in particular, and humanity in general. I am assured that our Papa is now a citizen of heaven.

St Augustine said, “When you work, work as though everything depends on you.” Yes, he worked because everything and every one of us depended on him.

In conclusion, we want to say that, striking a balance between our work and rest is commendable. Even God at creation rested on the seventh day. On the 26th February, 2023, Brigadier-General Koffi Fidelis our Papa, finally rested.

Though he may have left us for the great beyond, the sweet memories of his sojourn on earth will continue to linger on for a very long time.

To our Mama, the children and grand-children, great grand-children, families, relations and friends, we the staff of Honestdeal Insurance Brokers Limited identify with you in this period of grief and pray the Almighty to give all of us the strength to bear this loss.

May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Amen.

General was a man of integrity, courage fair and Firm in his decisions but very compassionate for a soldier. I always wonder how he combined all those qualities. He was a leader par excellence who exudes confidence. No wonder we made him the only Grand Patron of the Novololo Society the society that was so dear to his heart.
When you visit him it was always difficult to depart we could continue chatting
late into the night. He was a father a big brother and above all a very good reliable friend. We will all miss him .
May the Good Lord receive his gentle soul and grant him everlasting rest.

So Sad. My Condolences to the family.
Oga was like a father to us at Officers Accts Branch Command Pay Office Apapa when he was the Officer in Charge (Oic) in the 70s.
He was posted to take charge of the Branch in1975 after his tour of duty at the Defence attaché office New York city . The Branch was made up of Soldiers & Civilians charged with the responsibilities of preparing the monthly Salaries & Allowances of Nigerian Army Officers.
I was employed & deployed to the Branch in April 1973 as a young Sch leaver before he assumed office in 1975.
He took particular interest in me not only being the Youngest Boy in the office but because of my Uncle ,Col FAZ Shielu who was then the Chief Pay Master of the Nigerian Army.
He ensures high standard of Discipline & jobs efficiency which will later be of help to me when I eventually left to Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna for my Cadet trainings in preparation for my long & successful Military Career. He was a Role model & a father to me though we haven't met for along time. His death came as a shock to me but Allah knows best.
May Almighty Allah forgive his short comings, make things easy for him whenever he might be & grant him Peaceful Rest.
Old Soldiers don't Die. They just Fade away.
Adieu Sir.

Every moment you spent with us was a treasure to be kept and cherished.
1987 in his office at Apapa, uncle said "Segun, you must complete your HND programme and excel in your education ". Those words were more than GOLD to me.
An empathic listener, motivator, disciplinarian and very humble.
You will always remain in our hearts . RIP
