Daddy my friend, father, first love, son, mentor, etc am still lost of words to express how am missing you. No one to request of pictures, latest gist, progress and updates and so on. I still cry almost everyday and sometimes loose control of myself irrespective of my location. My dream was to see you once again which never happened and I've also ran out of excuses anytime Sungdia ask of you. It's over a year now but the news of your passing still remains fresh in mind. Rest well my Daddy my all....

i have lost a true brother. Bro. Kofi Gyamfi was a caring, kind and a very generous person. His generosity had no bounds. He was always ready to help in any way he deems fit. A very principle, hard working, a good artist and a team player .
Bro. Kofi took me as his younger brother and did checked on me every morning at work and our conversations were mostly centered on our clients and and our families and things that we could do to help them. He loved the clients in his group and he cherished his family. Group 7 was your second group as you always helped us with your artistic skills and shared jokes with us. Elizabeth, Licett, Tanzenia and James bids you 'Rest in perfect peace".
Bro. Kofi was very proud of his children and we always talked about their accomplishments. I always praised him and his wife for raising such a beautiful family without being physically present with them in Ghana anytime we watched pictures from them or talked about them. You loved your wife. I fondly remember you taking about the surprised you had planned for you wife in January prior to her visit in February.
My family, friends and I are devastated by your untimely death . Little did i know that our last communication was going to be that of March 20th 2020.
Big Bro. i can't stop crying and what makes it worse is that I am not even around to bid you farewell.
Bro. Kofi Fare Thee well. Rest in the bosom of your Maker till we meet again.
Forever in our hearts.
Da yie. Me yonko pa ne Onua pa (Sleep well my good friend and my true brother.)

"Then I heard a voice from heaven say, 'Write: Blessed are the dead... They will rest from their labour, for their deeds would follow them." Revelation 14:13

We had just a short time together and hoped for greater times ahead. We didn't know this was how far we could come together.

Our tears continue to flow, each drop saying that in death, we still love you.

The Dokurugu family says that, You will remain in our until we meet on the Beautiful shore. Rest in perfect peace.

It is painful when we lose someone that we have grown to love and respect, as a colleague. There are so many wonderful things I could say about Kofi; I could write for days at a time. More importantly, Kofi gave of himself unconditionally, to those he was entrusted to serve. Kofi was a positive role model to his co-workers and to those he supported. The word "No" was not part of his vocabulary. Kofi knew that the work he was chosen to do was important and had to be done right! I thank God for giving me the opportunity to work with Kofi. May the Lord comfort his family and those who mourn the loss of this great person. Kofi, find rest in the arms of your creator- Amen

My sincere condolences and sympathy from the bottom of my heart to Kofi Gyamfi's family.
I was so sorry to hear the passing of my good friend and co-worker, mentor and teacher, Mister Gyamfi.
I share in your grief Mrs. Victoria Gyamfi at our sad loss.
I will never forget all the great things Kofi did for our individuals who he loved and care unconditionally.
Since I've joined Kofi's group 5 in July 2009, I've personally witnessed Kofi dedicated his whole life and soul for the well-being of our individuals, and his family as well.
I thank Heavenly Father to give me the opportunity and blessing to work and to know Kofi as a great friend.
To lose someone so special is really hard to bear, it hardly seems believable that you're no longer there.
You left us far too early before your time, it seems and now you'll never have the chance to fulfill all those dreams.
However hard it is though we'll take confort in the thought of all the memories we have and the happiness you brought to our individuals.
You always lived life to the full but ours won't be the same until the day when we can see your smiling face again.
Kofi Gyamfi, R.I.P. ...

I haven’t been at Bainbridge long. But I am glad I was able to experience the joy of a person you are. In a short amount of time you learned that Ice Coffee from Dunkin Donuts was my drug. Once a week you would send me off to get my Ice Coffee. At first I didn’t want you too but I caved. I had no choice. Your kind words and warm welcoming will always be admired. Kofi Thank you for the brief little convo’s we used to have about me going back to school. About me starting a family soon. It saddens me that such a great soul was taken soo soon. But Kofi until we meet again, may you Rest Easy and watch over everyone who loves you!!

Kofi, you should have died hereafter;
There would have been a time for such a word.
And all our yesterdays have lighted nothing
The way to dusty death
Out, out, brief candle!!
Life is but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more.
Kofi, we know how much you were filled with the milk of human kindness.
We know how others were comforted by your gentle nature.
We know how others were inspired by your compassion.
You will always be remembered.
Kofi, "Damirifa due!! Due ne amanehunu!!"

The great Mountain stands desolate and the Earth has torn away like a flesh. A deep Gorge has developed and the dust, like the ash smoke, overshadowed the light of life. The lament of your wife, children and family is across the ocean in search of you.

Where In this darkest empty world should we find a wind of you over the lofty mountain? Or shall we go over the deeps, or elsewhere in the fields? Our search light has travelled the path of life yet you were at neither ends. No. The world of bliss has snatched you from us to the other side leaving us with an empty space to fill which I know can never be.

You are dear to us, however, you left us in the Ruddy pool of pain that pricks our hearts like the Flint of an arrow.

Rest in peace Mr Kofi Gyamfi. We love and salute you even in Death. Oh Death, Oh Death,Oh Death.hmmmmmmmmmm

Rest in Peace in the Bosom of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Recent stories

Dear Kofi,

April 30, 2020
When I heard about your passing yesterday I immediately went into denial and thought that it had to be someone else.  No I thought, not you.  Tears started rolling down my face when I saw your picture today. For the 11 years I knew you, you were nothing but a gentleman! Kind and warm-hearted. Passionate and dedicated to our individuals.  I don’t have words to continue to describe you or to thank you for the love and care you shared with us day after day.  I told Yolanda you went to heaven. I know she will truly miss you.  We will all miss you...Dear Kofi.
Sleep in Peace.
Our most sincere condolences to your family

Inspiring Others

April 30, 2020
As I visited Group 5’s empty classroom at Bainbridge today, I took note of the hand-cut letters that Kofi was always making to announce holidays and events. In laminated photos on the wall, some of the group members could be seen making their own posters, completely immersed in spelling out their full names in the same bright, bold block letters. Is it possible to measure how many days were brightened by Kofi's presence in his 21 years at IAHD?

My observation in the brief year and a half that I worked with Kofi was that people around him were comforted by his gentle nature, and inspired by his quiet wisdom and compassion for others. As I have been speaking with his colleagues this week, numerous people have referred to Kofi as their teacher, mentor, brother, uncle, and dear friend.

He meant so much to so many. We will truly miss this man.

Memorable moments

April 30, 2020
At work
Every month you would come to me and ask money to take one of your individual to the nearby Barber shop for hair cut.
Out of work
Almost everyday when I meet with you at Jerome Ave after work, you would say with a smiling face-"shopping, shopping"
I can't believe that I will miss these now
RIP
