So Much Love!!!

April 4, 2014

It was beautiful!  The day that was supposed to be filled with rain, and there was sunshine, bright beautiful warm sunshine!  A perfect day...for a wonderful lady!  It was so encouraging to see so much love pour out for Krista, from her family, friends and friends of her parents and daughters.  Her Daughters!  Krista passed along her fabulous good looks to all three of her girls and they were a true testiment to Krista's life!  They were so gracious and kind to all of the visitors and even comforted others, as their mother would do!  Krista's parents are remarkable...I was so honored to meet such amazing people!  You can see what loving parents they are and contiue to be to Krista's girls and grandbabies.  Speaking of Grandbabies...Brookie...OMG your bright pink dress was exactly the perfect most awesome thing you could have worn!  Bright and bold and stylish and perfect...I can see Krista smiling as she watched you wearing it...so proud of her little one!  And Valor...could not be any cuter...with his perfect little vest and purple shirt (Krista's favorite color) and his infectious smile...like Brooke's dress...big and bright and perfect!  Having some of our IALHA family at the services was, to me, just confirmation that we are all one big family and we are here to care for each other and support one another...and that is exactly what these folks did and I thank them for driving the distance to be there for Lexi and support her family.  THIS IS NOT OVER!!!  KRISTA'S LEGACY WILL LIVE FOREVER WITH HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!  GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!

Meeting Krista!!!

March 31, 2014

I first met Krista at the Pin Oak show in 2009.  I remember thinking she was so gorgeous I bet she is probably mean and stuck up.  I was surprised when she approached me and introduced herself...poised and elegant and so sweet and friendly.  We talked for hours about horses and breeding and how much we loved Andalusians.  I didn't see Krista again until I learned of her illness.  I had friended her daughter, Lexi on FB and we became buddies.  She was so knowledgable about Andalusians and was so mature for her young age...I always thought Krista did an amazing job as a mom!  Seeing her on her birthday after she was diagnosed and lost her beautiful hair...you would never know she had cancer!  She was smiling and laughing and so down to earth.  I cannot remember her not smiling or trying to help someone out.  She was gracious to me and you could see the effect she had on others because there was a houseful of people there to see her for her birthday...so much love for this special woman!  I am honored to have known her and grateful to have met her exceptional daughters!!!
