Happy Birthday Dad! You would have been 84 today and I wish you could have been with us to see how your family has grown. Even as I grow older I see so much of you in me, and yet I often think of you when I need guidance, which I get automatically just reflecting on what you would say to me. So thanks so much for watching over me and giving me your love and blessings wherever you are. I love you and miss you so much Dad.

Happy 80th Birthday Dad! I can just imagine the party you’re having wherever you are - hundreds of people, great food and drink, and you enthralling everyone with a song, poem, joke, or words of wisdom. Wish we could be there too!
So many days I’ve thought to myself “what would dad do?” and every day I’ve been thankful for the moments we spent together and the things I learned. I’m becoming a lot like you, and I marvel at the miracle of genetics.

Dear Papa, I can't believe it's been 3 years. The memories are still so vivid, the sound of your voice is crystal clear, and the comfort of having you here always in spirit is very real. Mummy and I spoke for a long time yesterday and talked about all the unique and wonderful things you did, how you challenged so many traditions, and the impact you had on everyone you touched. I pray that everyone remembers you for the great guy you were - I'll always remember you as an amazing dad. Love you and miss you so much.

Happy Birthday Dad! You'd be 76 today, and wherever you are I know you're always right here. Everyone woke up today to a reminder about your birthday flashing on their smart phones...and there was initially a sad feeling of missing you. But then we celebrated by Suju baking a cake for you, and Mummy distributing sweet lassi and food to poor people in Noida. Last night we were at a party and I told everyone a few of your famous Nawaab jokes, and shared some stories about shikaar. Another year has gone by, but your memory is bright as ever. Every time I think of you I smile because you were/are a great friend and a fantastic father to me. I love you Dad. Cheers!

On Nov 17, we missed you so much Dad - then on the 18th all of us went to the temple, did a small pooja at home, and also spoke to Mummy for a long time. It was good to speak to her - I know she's feeling so alone without you. But we all feel you're right here beside us, and that's a wonderful feeling. Wherever you are, we love you and remember all those special moments with you.
