Papas Piano

October 28, 2021
Last week I was visiting my friend at an AirBnb they had rented. In the living room they had a piano. It reminded me so much of the one Papa use to have down in his basement. It brought back memories of going down into the cold, unfinished basement with Kyle and Katlyn to bang away on the out of tune piano he had in one of the corners. Katlyn taught Kyle and I how to play Peter Peter Pumpkin eater. To this day its still the only song I can play on the piano. I miss you Kyle and wish we had more time to make memories together. Until we met again.
Love you

Feb 2019

January 19, 2021
I first met Kyle at Fort Greely, I was walking around the hangar over there and Kyle approached me out of nowhere.

He said, "Hey, I heard you're from Guam".
I responded, "Watchu know about Guam?!?"
Kyle, "Oh, I'm from there".
Since ever since, I see him and I say "Hafa Adai Che'Lu!! Umbi fan, howzit?"

For everyone who knows Kyle, he's the most laid back, easy going guy, always had that big smile, and he would stop whatever he was doing and go out of his way to help you.

Much love to you che'lu, rest easy.
My condolences to the Sutherland Family.

Kyle and Cross Country

January 17, 2021
Kyle was a strong competitor that never gave less than 100% in practice or competition. He was gracious in both victory and defeat. As a coach with 20+ runners I could count on him to step up as a a leader- running with the front of the pack and then doubling back to help the final runners finish.
His dad would run with us and I know Kyle appreciated his support. Kyle’s mon was also so proud of Kyle. She kept me up to date with Kyle’s career even after he moved away.
The Kyle I knew, the one in the cross country pictures, was a strong and gentle young man. He made my life better, and I know everyone else on the team and in his class loved and reapectedhim.
