Her brief story

August 30, 2016

Lan Liu was born in Tianjin, China on November 15, 1954. From 1973 to 1978, she worked in Tianjin Chemical School. After the culture revolution, she became a college student at Tianjin Polytechnic University. After graduation in 1982, she worked in Tianjin City Professional College until retiring in 2009. During this period she served as the chair of the Department of Industrial Control and Automation and the dean of studies and made a considerable contribution on the development of the college.

She married Mr. Liping Tang in 1983 and bore her only child, Haolan Tang in 1984. In the past long years, she was a perfect professor and housewife, enjoying her wonderful family life with her husband and daughter.

In 2009 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After twice effusions she came to Los Angeles for further treatment in 2015. Unfortunately she failed to response to treatment and passed away on 17:37, July 31, 2016 (PDT), at the age of 61.

She was such a strong, wise, and kind lady. She always cherished life even in hardships. I can’t summarize her entire life only using a short paragraph, since the death won’t be the end but becomes eternity as a part of life. For the ones who love her, she will always stay in their memories, as the blooming orchid, as the quiet moonlight.
