It’s been 18 years since you was taken from us dad I still miss you everyday and always will, the memories of the time together we shared I get to keep here with me it’s not the same as having you around so I can visit you on the farm doing things together and seeing the proud look in your eyes with that smerk that nobody could forget when a task went right and we achieved what we was aiming for then at the end of the day we’d go inside to a lovely big meal mar had cooked for us but the memories is something, you asked me to keep the fairlane well you’d be pleased to know that 18 years down the track I still have the old girl just like you asked, your name often pops up in family conversations, I tell the kids stories of their pop, mum often talk of you she also misses you heaps and some of my mates often mention you and Johnny Mayne still to this day refers to you as old blip and he still misses going out to Mount Seymour to see you, your loved by many people that’s for sure, love and miss you dad always will xoxoxo

My husband Lance was a hard man at times , but he was a hard working man sometimes with two or three jobs at a time to make ends meet .  He was a wonderful dad who loved his children with all his heart . He was always willing to help others when he thought they needed it . His one wish was to own his own farm . We ended up buying a small acreage and ran cattle , pigs and poultry . We had hay cut every year and we both worked our butts off for many years and renovated our old home to make it how we wanted it , but he really never got to sit back and enjoy what we'd accomplished . His health wasn't good for years and he became very ill in the end . I just hope that when he looks down from heaven he can see what he had accomplished and be very proud .
I know I'm proud of what we done together after the big battle of trying to make our relationship a happy one for years .
I'll forever love you Lance and I know that one day we'll be together again . You're in my heart and on my mind every day

Our awesome dad

Shared by Peter Laredo on July 13, 2016

I remember dad as a funny fun fella who everyone liked and all my friends said he was awesome as. Just about everywhere dad was when I was little I was too, I was like his shadow and as I grew up I still loved to be near my dad an visit as much as I could he was my dad my friend and my hero and great to be around, in a car he was a bit of a rev head I'm pretty sure that's where I get it from too lol. He loved his little farm and worked hard on it to pay it off, its so sad that it was no sooner paid and he had to leave us due to his illness and didn't get to sit back and enjoy what he worked so hard to buy for himself and beautiful mum. He loved mar to bits even right to the end they'd hold hands and cuddle an night on the lounge like youngsters it was good to see. I miss him dearly and always will, love you dad you were the best dad anyone could ask for we were so lucky to have you and share together what we did share, life's to short xo
