A Time I'm Thinking About That We Had Fallen On Really Hard Times..Lanny Got Laid Off From Work And We Were Living In A Trailer On Gap Hollow Rd! We Had Rashened Out What Food We Had Between Our Three Kids Until There Wasnt Anymore..We Were Also Out Of Bottle Gas To Cook With..So Lanny Decided We Could Have One Of The Chicken's For Dinner..He Got It All Ready..And He Cooked It On An Open Camp Style Fire!! It Looked And Smelled So Good..But When We Tryed To Eat It..It Was A Rooster..And Tougher Than Leather.. Needless To Say..There Was No Eating That Thing...:( So We Went Over To My Parent's..(Just Up The Road) And They Helped Us With A Meal And Food To Take Home..My Dad Thought The Rooster Thing Was So Funny..He Said Boy Dont You Know The Difference Between A Hen And A Rooster!! Just Teasing Lanny!! And He Did Tease Him About That For A Long Time!!  Lol..The Kids Thought It was Funny That The Rooster Meat Was Like Rubber..They Would Remind There Daddy Of The Rubber Chicken From Time To Time..My Baby..I Love Him So Much..And Will Forever!!! Remembering The Time That We Took Part In Foster Parenting Blind Children On A Field Trip For A Day Outting..At First Lanny Wasnt Sure If He Would Be Able .. And After Careful Consideration..He Decided In Favor .. It Turned Out To Be A Wonderful Experience..The Child Connected To Him,As He Also Did To The Child..He Showed So Much Love And Patience As He Gently Led And Explained To His Foster Daughter About The Animals On The Farm..Ever So Gently Helping Her Touch Them To Form A Picture In Her Mind Of What They Looked Like, And Explaining Everyone In Detail..It Was A Wonderful Day..As The Day Came To A Close..He Was So Convinced That The Little Girls Life Had Meaning And Purpose..That He Offen Recalled Her..And Spoke Of That Day.. And How Special It Was To Him As Well As Her..I Just Loved The Heart I Saw That Day..And Forever Will Carry It In My Memory..I Miss You My Love..But My Love And Your Memories Will Forever Remain A Part Of Me..Forever Yours..Your Wife..Pamela Rae Arnold..
