LAMBO SANDJO PIERRE ROGER a.k.a LAPIRO DE MBANGA was born on

November 3rd 1957, in the community of MBANGA in Cameroon. He began his wonderful cultural and musical career in 1976, at the age of 19 years old. He was greatly known throughout Cameroon, Africa, and even the world, for the messages conveyed in his music, that were always gearing towards the support of laborers, the "Sauveteurs" (pedlars), and all other lower social working classes. He was also known internationally because of his fight for humanitarian rights, and his fierce speeches towards democracy and liberty.

 

LAMBO SANDJO PIERRE ROGER a.k.a LAPIRO DE MBANGA, won many titles and awards during his career in the music and cultural industry, and was also highly regarded as a human rights activist by International Organizations. He moved to the United States of America a little over a year ago with his family, where he finally lost his battle to Cancer, on Sunday, March 16th 2014 at 11:35am. He leaves behind many sons and daughters, biological, adopted and spiritual, as well as a loving wife and an International audience, who will miss him greatly.
