Larry Abraham Samson Sr, of Dayton, Ohio, was born October 3, 1952 and passed away at age 69, October 1, 2022. He was the fourth of six children born to Abraham and Lula T. Samson.
In 1971, Larry graduated from Dunbar High School, where he enjoyed playing basketball. After high school, he lived out his life between Atlanta, GA, Dayton, OH and Springfield, OH. He enjoyed spending time with family and playing spades. He worked for Montgomery County Children’s Services and General Motors. He attended New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, of Dayton, OH, Pastors Therman Sampson, Sr and Therman C. Sampson, II. He was also an active member at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, of Springfield, OH, Pastor Ernest C Brown, Sr.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Lula T. Samson, his brother, Jerry Samson, and loved one, Pamela Samson. He leaves to cherish his memory siblings Barbara Samson, Geri Samson Horton, Anita Samson, and Vincent (Beverly) Samson; children Ryan Williams, Lamar Jordan, Amber Morton, Ashley Samson, and Larry Samson Jr; grandchildren D’mario Williams, Ryana Williams, Amari Jordan, Airrica Jordan, Armani Jordan, Symone Morton, Avery Morton, Alexis Samson, and LaMela Samson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family members, friends and loved ones.
On behalf of the entire Samson family, we sincerely thank you for your prayers, love, words of encouragement, calls, cards, flowers, texts, visits, and numerous acts of kindness and concern shown during our time of bereavement. May God continue to bless and keep you.
