Today marks the 6 year anniversary of Larry's passing. I hope his friends will leave some kind words or memories of Larry today! After he was laid off from Probuild he was so devastated because he had been counting down the Mondays until his retirement. I feel he was robbed of the joy of having a real retirement party where his coworkers and business associates could have given him the proper send off. They got rid of Larry to keep "Bob" the former idiot manager (Larry always said he was worthless). I think it pushed him over the edge and shortened his life because all he was left with was a feeling that he got "fired" - which of course was not true. He was "laid off" and it broke his heart. That resulted in his downward spiral and subsequent death. So, if Bob still works there you can blame him and the new manager that came in for Larry's death.

Today is Larry's birthday. It was exactly a week later last year that he passed...it has been a tough year...full of making decisions without the comfort and advice of my best friend and partner...I still miss him very much but I know he is in a better place and not fighting any pain and illness and that is of great comfort when I think about him.

We became acquainted with Larry at Pro Build while we were building our home from 2008-2011. He was always pleasant, helpful and so very knowledgeable. Our project would have been much more difficult without his professional assistance. We are so very sad to hear of his passing and hope his family/friends are comforted by precious memories. Charlie & Ingrid Bates

My friend and co worker Larry knew his job. I have not met anyone else that was dedicade and loyal to all and every customer he served. There are a couple of sayings Larry allways said, but I will share them in person. I had just lost my mother she passed a week before Larry so know this really hits home. We love you Larry and boy are we going to miss you.!

The first animal river trip!

September 25, 2012

Larry, Dennis Schad, and Scott Graham made the first animal trip with a 8 foot rubber duckie!  Nice huh! we crashed right off the bat and all food, cigs, beer (lost) were wet or gone.  Only thing dry was my sleeping bag, my clothes, and my sleeping pad!.  Sleeping together and freezing wow! Now seeing Larry drying all his cigs on a rock was funny and him trying to light them was even funnier!  As  Larry always said " Heres to the Maid of Honor"  some of you know the rest!  I will miss his sayings and jokes! Be at peace my friend!

Fishing with Larry.

September 20, 2012

I'll always remember these times fondly. Larry wanting to pick up the lines and head across the lake and try the fishing there. Never mind we were catching plenty of fish right where we were.:))

Then there was the time It was just he and I. We were fishing with different gear. I was catching fish and Larry was not. So Larry changed gear. Within minutes he had a fish. Screw this he says, I don't have to fish like this to catch fish. He changed back and I think I probably caught the rest of the fish. He'd deny that though. If nothing else Larry was his own man, did things his way, and if youn didn't like it you could, well, you know. That was Larry.
