We are here to celebrate the life of Larry Sikes. He was born in Alva, November 15,1938 and passed away on September 20,2011. Larry served his country in the National Guard from 1956 to 1958, and then went into the Army Reserve until 1964. He was born in Alva, Florida and spent most of his life in Buckingham, where he lived for more than 50 years.  He loved to work and build things. He worked in construction hanging drywall nearly all his life. He built things such as wooden swings that hung from his giant oak tree, swamp buggies, and a treehouse for his grandkids. (wich we loved). If he wasnt working you could be sure to find him in his barn either cleaning it or building something. He was a great man with a great sense of humor. He had 1 son, who preceeded him in death on October 20, 2010, and two daughters. He also had six grandchildred and 4 great grandchildren. R.I.P Loving Father and Grandpa.. we love you and miss you so much ..
