Larry "Poppa" Vaughan, was an incredible man who will be deeply missed. He was more of a father to me than my own. Poppa was so special. He loved his music and more often than not if you were at home with him chances are he was playing his jazz music or soft rock loud enough for the neighbors to hear. But what he loved more than that was his soulmate and wife, Lavetta Ann and his family. If you were loved by Poppa you knew it. I considered myself so blessed having him as a father figure in my life and being loved by him. He was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed. It brings a smile to my face now thinking of him, just knowing he is reunited with Lavetta. I can just see them dancing all over heaven together. I love you Poppa and you will be missed.

Pops you will truly be missed but forever loved. I have been blessed to have met you and had you be such a big and wonderful part of my life. 20 years ago when we met, you told me that you would be my dad and you kept that promise and always welcomed me with open arms and a smile. I will miss dancing in the kitchen with you and having you to talk to and hearing all of your funny stories you would tell me and the kids. But I smile knowing that you are back with grandma Lavetta where you have longed to be.
