We met at Oklahoma University in December of 1967 when Larry gave me an icicle put on the Christmas tree at the Baptist Student Union. He asked me to marry him in March of 1968. He was old fashioned and insisted on calling my dad to ask his permission to marry me.Well, my dad didn't even know him since he'd only met him Christmas and then he and mom went back to Hollywood.

After Larry explained who he was, dad said yes. We were married June 29th, 1968, and were together until he passed away of cancer,on April 24th, 2009.
