LaTasha Janine Sims, 49, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on March 22, 2023.
LaTasha, affectionally known to many as Tasha, was born on August 14, 1973, to Norma Wilson and Leslie Harris, Sr in Dayton, Ohio. After attending Meadowdale High School, she went on to study Sociology at Wright State University and graduated with her Bachelor's degree.
Tasha was a fun-loving and joyful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and laughing with her family and friends. As a child of the late 80s and early 90s, she loved dancing and listening to Al B. Sure and Bell Biv Devoe, and she also enjoyed watching Tyler Perry movies and Video Soul with Donnie Simpson. Tasha was also actively involved in her church and never met a stranger she didn't consider a friend or family.
She is survived by her mother Norma Wilson; her sons, Christopher Walters (Patricia), Brian Favors, Jr., and Bryce Favors; her daughter, Cristee Walters; her sister, Tracie Sams (Anthony); her brothers, Larry Sims, Jr., Michael Strolger, Leslie Harris, Jr.; her grandchildren Ro'Meere, Ro'Melle, Robyn, and Duraun, Jr; her aunts, Beverly Lee, Kimberly Harris, Dianne Dillard; her nieces, Aquila Blackwell (Nathan), Jasmine Sams, Trinity Sims, Daisa Sims, and Zen'yatta Sams; her nephews, Joshua Sams (Ashley), Justin Sims, Dominique Sams (Lydia), Jordan Sims, and A'mari Strolger; her special friends, Alicia Montgomery and Marlon Wallace; and many cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
LaTasha is preceded in death by Leslie Harris, Sr. (Father), Napoleon and Gustina Harris (paternal grandparents), and Margareta Wilson and Joe Glove (maternal grandparents).
Tasha, everyone in this world is sad to see you leave, but we are happy that you are now home in heaven with your father and free and painless. We will always love and miss you until we can meet again.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at 4919 Hoover Ave Dayton Ohio 45417 on April 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
