TRIBUTE TO MY LATE HUSBAND

I was privilege to be the wife of a wonderful, loving, intelligent and kind man Late REV. PETER IBEMESI OKWUAKA.
He was a Husband, loving father, grandfather, best friend, adviser and a colleague.
Since our union in the early 70s, I am the most Blessed woman on earth due to his provisions in terms of family welfare and Children's up keep which he never neglected as his responsiblity. He also made sure that all and sundry (including his immediate and extended family) are always in Good condition.
Papa Oyibo My Darling Husband, You were more than a Mentor, My Soulmate, My inspirator and my Backbone, you supported and Loved me unconditionally.
We went through challenges of life both spiritually and physically without you complaining or shying away.
LATE REVEREND PETER OKWUAKA; My Darling Husband and I were Blessed with Good children as gift from the Almighty God.
Daddy was a transparent and truthful Husband who always speak and stand on his word irrespective of whom it might hurt.
Daddy was also a Good teacher who is willing to teach everyone the importance of knowing God and serving him diligently.
My Late Husband was an advocate of hard work who Celebrates people that made it in Life through the fear of God and hard work.
DADDY like I'd always call him was a leader in the Lord's Vine Yard and a Vertarian.
Daddy was a disciplinarian that do not tolerate nonsense from anybody.
Late REVEREND PETER OKWUAKA My husband, was a man who stood for the helpless or the oppressed in the society, He solved people's problem irrespective of your relationship with him.
He was always willing to support and put smile on people's faces around him. He thought his children the importance of humility and integrity.
Daddy, you lived a fulfilled life and left the legacy of LOVE and SELFLESS SERVICE with us.
Your demise on 23rd of January 2021 is still fresh to my memory as I remember your last words to me.

TRIBUTE TO MY GRANDFATHER

I want to thank God for life well spent by my grandfather on this planet earth. My parents make me to understand that he is a good man that has impacted those who have privileged to come around him positively. He is a fulfilled man that died empty of the potentials that God endowed him with. To many, you have died but to us, you are sleeping and must wakeup at the resurrection day. We love you grandpa but Elohim loves you most.
Till we meet to part no more.
Adieu Grandpa

TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER IN-LAW

l write to celebrate the departure of God's General as you answer the Heavenly call.
It was shocking and difficult to believe when the news of your departure broke, but we are consoled knowing that the Lord have called you, even your last words can attest to that; Which was "you want to go home and rest". The few years l have known you have been a memorable one.
I will miss those gists that came from you whenever l come around, you were a man of few words but the wisdom that came from talking with you is what l can never do away with.
Daddy even when you were sick your voice always come with soothing relief that anyone that is far will not know how serious it is. We will miss you especially your Grand children who were looking up to spending weekends and holidays with you.
Farewell Daddy, we know that Heaven have good record of your work in his vineyard.

THE MEASURE OF A MAN

It is difficult, at best to attempt to honour my father in words. It is never an easy task to capture someone like him in speech as words frequently fall too short of his true essence. In this instance, they fall below the mark that I feel it is almost futile to try. What is the true measure of a man? Is it the amount of money he has? The possessions he owns and the power he controls? Is it the qualifications or professional success he has achieved? In my opinion, the true measure of a man is how much love he gives; how selflessly he shares whatever he can to help others; how consistently he lifts up those arround him with kind words, a compliment, a funny joke, a humble ear or a helping hand. By this measure, Daddy was immeasurable.
I remain grateful and comforted knowing how much he positively affected the lives of others. He always led by example and taught us numerous life lessons some of which are;Always depend on God, work hard, and rewards wll always follow, Show respect and courtesy to others, Do not repay evil with evil, Always strive to do your best no matter what you are doing.
Don't blame others, accept responsibility and consequences of your actions
Be positive, supportive and always give encouragement.
Share with others who are less fortunate and give without expecting anything in return.
Set a positive example so it may be imitated by others and always find the good in people because every bad person must have some good virtues.
Daddy!! It will only take a moment but the memory will surely last a lifetime as you took a saintly journey. Left for us, we will keep you here much longer but Gods way are supreme. We have accepted in good faith knowing that joy comes in the morning. A labourer is worthy of his wage. You have fought a good fight and I pray that God whom you served will grant you eternal rest in his bosom... Amen!

A man as humble and loving as Grandpa will always be remembered by those of us who knew him and loved him. I remember 2 years ago while i ate with him he would always talk in a calm voice. Although we will miss him, his smile, his love, we take consolation in the good feelings of our memories. A great man of very few words. I am happy that i was able to see you last year but even though I cannot see you again you will forever remain in my heart and try to live by your example.

TRIBUTE TO My LOVELY DAD
I do not mourn him at all
I weep because he left us
He slept, he did not die
Rev. Pastor Peter Our Daddy was a wonderful person. He was amazing in every sense all the way.
I do not mourn him at all, I weep because he left us.
He slept, he did not die and I know, I am sure, because on the Resurrection morning, he will raise again and we will see him in glory.
I am sure because he believed in CHRIST.
His salvation was sure, it was certain.
He said, "if I die today, I know I am fulfilled. I've done what the
LORD has asked me to do".
He was not afraid of death. He was not afraid. It is not a matter of how Long or how short, It is not a matter of time, but how well and he lived well.
He lived a good life, He lived to the glory of God. He lived, he served God. His Life was dedicated to Christ and that is why I am sure that he is in Heaven.
I am sure that he made it.
Till we meet to part no more Dad. Keep Resting in the bosom of the Lord..... Amen

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED DADDY REV. PETER IBEMESI OKWUAKA.
My beloved father, Rev.peter Ibemesi Okwuaka, you will always be the best and the most important role model in my life. You were a great man, an easy going man. A great man of peace. You are a humanitarian, You taught us how to Live a modest lifestyle, build strong relationship no matter how rich or poor, young or old, religion or status.
You are the kind of a father every child will wish to have. A man with a large heart who is kind and generous, gentle and meek. A man who carry everyone around him as one body.
Father you have touched and impacted on so many things into people lives. You help the poor and needy in good faith, A peace maker, a king maker (etc) which the bible reminds us to do at all time, that by so doing we will be called son& daughter of God. It's obvious that history will never be economical with your existence because your foot prints are indelible on the rock that will stand the test of time.
God knows why He needed you now, but the truth is that there is a vacuum in our family now, but God doesn't make mistakes. I OGECHUKWU will not cry because you are gone, rather I will smile because of the beautiful memories I have of you and the good works God wrought through you.

TRIBUTE TO MY GREAT FATHER IN-LAW

Where do I start? Where do I stop? A man of peace, gentle and kind hearted man. He took me in as his own son and made me feel path of his family from that very moment such that whenever I called to say Hi, He always give me hope. It never occured to me that you will never recover from the sickness. But I take consolation in the scripture which emphasized that there is life after death.

A TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED FATHER

For Someone who meant Soo Much and Loved by all he knew, who left behind a trail of tears and precious memories too.
We Loved the sunshine in his smile and the kindness in his heart but heaven saw that he has finished his work on earth. Well, he was the best father I think anyone could ask for, always had a Smile on his face and never let anything get to him.
As I looked back over time, I found myself wondering..... "Did I remember to thank you enough for all you've done for me? For the sacrifices you made and teaching us by your example, the value of hard work, Good Judgement, Courage and integrity?
Words just can't convey how much I wish that you are here with us to see your Grandson which you Celebrated with Us that he was born.
We really miss you Big Daddy but God that have called you to eternal rest, recieve your soul, for I know that You're at the right hand of God.

TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER

As the first child of your offspring, I grew up to see and learn a lot from you. My dad is the best dad,  a man of the people, a preacher of the gospel with a life worth imitating.  Peaceful  and trust worthy. Someone who always find a way to help and make people happy. He has a gentle soul. He is humble , kind,  playful, hardworking and  very honest.  He is my hero , my supporter, my teacher, my provider, my friend, but most importantly…my first love. As far back as I can remember, ...He showed me what true love really meant by the way he loved my mom no matter what. He taught me to always trust in God,  that he had the final say. Always preach forgiveness and peace.  I will really miss you. Your gentle voice,  your response. You never stress anyone. Your last evening on earth you told me over the phone even when I  asked you , daddy you are sounding very deep? He replied, It is well.  Never did I know you would leave us so suddenly, you were a good man, you advised me and did your best to provide for me and my siblings . You tried your best in helping people, always smiling.  I still remember all the places you drove me to as a child and a memorable day to hospital at the birth of your first son Samuel after so many years.  You made people see me like your princess as I always been, that gave birth to my nick name OYIBO . Always there for us to say a word of prayer and encouragement, and a great listener and advocate of peace.
My Dad left an impact on every person he met, even strangers (who didn’t stay strangers very long because he was just so  friendly). The love my Dad spread on this Earth continues to grow and will live on, and that is the ultimate measure of any human being. So proud to call you Daddy,  Papa Oyibo

I love you, Dad. Now and forevermore. From your First Princess Oyibo

After encountering Challenges, I run home without fear knowing that you are always there. Even in my Secondary and Tertiary level, Seeing you once in a while is always like staying with you. A special dad is hard to find.
You, Dad, I'm keeping in my mind.
I wished you could have stayed forever,
But I will never forget you; oh, not ever.
If dreams weren't dreams and dreams came true,
I wouldn't be here; I'd be with you.
Distance is one thing that keeps us apart,
But, Dad, you will always remain in my heart.
A special smile, a special face,
A special someone I can't replace,
I love you and I always will.
You filled a space that no one else could fulfill.
