“Fill you life with people that make you feel like sunshine “. That was my niece Lauren. She lit up any room she walked into . Lauren had brain cancer and fought hard for 9 years. She had more courage and strength than anyone I know.she never complained. And always had a smile .
We miss you terribly, Lauren. We miss your beautiful face , your laughter, your sassiness.
It doesn’t seem real to any of us that you are gone . You will forever be alive in our hearts. Fly high our beautiful angel . You will never be forgotten. We will love you forever.

Her Life

Lulu

May 25, 2021
Lauren was my niece. She was born October 16, 1986 in the Bronx. Eventually , her family , my sister Tina, her father Anthony and her siblings Jena, Nicole and Anthony moved to Florida.
Lauren was very smart during her school years. always studying. She graduated from FSU and moved to Atlanta. During her time in college she met the best friends she would ever have..
Lauren wanted to live life to the fullest, have fun and travel. In November of 2012, her life changed forever. She had a seizure. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had surgery. Along with her family being there ,and her friends , no one ever left her side. I was there. I never saw such an outpouring of love and support.
She went through her treatment with courage .She went back to work and was living her life.  We thought she had beat it for seven years. During that time she life I am sure , always in fear that it would come back . Bus that never stopped her. She traveled the world with her sisters and cousins.

Then in 2020 it came back. two more surgeries, treatment, and almost 2 years  she went through it with more courage and strength and than anyone I know. She was our families strength. She showed us all that you can fight anything and still have that hope. She was also very religious.  Towards the end, she knew the cancer had taken over , but did not give up. She still laughed and still had that beautiful smile.
Lauren lit up any room when she walked in. She was a shining light. There was always something about her that made her special. God saw that and said it's time for you to come home. He only takes the best. He had a bigger purpose for her up there. Life for us will never be the same.
Our family will never be complete. But Lulu will stay alive forever live in our hearts. We don't her her voice, but our hearts have a conversation with her every day.
Lauren had a dream . She wanted to start a non -profit organization to help others with brain cancer. We are making sure her dream will come true.
I think of my niece every day. I miss her. Her sisters and brother and her mom and dad miss her terribly. It's a loss you never get over and there are just no words. But we have our memories of her. If you can share those memories on this page, it would be like she is still here. Please share this with someone who knew her.
We love you LULU, and miss you. You are our beautiful Angel watching over all of us. You are the rainbow on a rainy day.  We will love you forever.
