Mr. Lavoy Powell of Columbus passed away Sunday at St. Francis Hospital. He was 57 years of age and resided at 3714 Regal Drive.  
 
The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Powell will be held Monday, May 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Reverend David Stallion, pastor will officiate.

The interment will be in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Visitation is Today, 1 til 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The cortege will depart from the residence at 12:30 the day of the service.

Mr Powell was a true blessing to all he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed not only by family but also his John P Thayer YMCA family as well.....may you rest 4ever in Gods loving arms...RIP Buddy Bud....Job well done

My prayer of strength goes to this family. LaVoy has been an asset to this community and GW Carver High School, his Alma Mater. He was a person always willing to help, if he could. He will be truly missed by me, even though it has been a while.
Rest in God's heavenly arms.
