3 years today! The ache in our hearts feel a little sharper, but we remember your positive spirit and celebrate the life you lived. Your memory is a blessing, and we know you rest peacefully with the Lord.
It’s April 2nd again, 2 years since our lord and savior called you home. A lot has changed, a lot has happened, little Eunice is now a big girl, Esther, Emmanuel and Elizabeth are grown too, Aunty bukky is also doing good by God’s grace. The lord is taking care of them. They all miss you and we miss you too. I know you’re in a better place, a beautiful place at that, a place away from the chaos and wickedness of this evil world. Keep resting and singing with the glorious choir in heaven.
Thinking of you on your birthday in heaven! keep singing beautifully with the hosts of heaven, with no illness in sight and happiness everywhere, keep flying high with the angels.
A lot of things have changed, a lot of things have happened, we wish you were here to see all these things but definitely God knows best. Aunty bukky and the kids are doing great, We love them and God is taking care of them.
Rest easy Uncle, I can’t say I/We don’t feel the impact of your death. You left this world quite early, everyday I see and realize that your dearest immediate family, wife and kids misses you well. Keep resting Uncle. God knows best.
Keep Resting Uncle, we will never forget you, April 2nd is now an emotional day for us all. We love you. Keep flying and singing beautifully with the host of heaven!
Life is truly short and in a twinkle of an eye, We don't when someone will go, especially someone we truly love. It's hard taking in your death Uncle Lawerence but God in His infinite wisdom knows best.
You lived your life with so much discipline and care. You were patient, gentle and wise. I remember how one evening you told me “God first” when I was bothered about sewing a dress and wasn't ready for church. Since that day that phrase never left me and guided me. You are a model worthy of emulation.
Uncle Lawrence, You're no longer with us, but your good works remain.
May Our Lord comfort and sustain your family, your wife, and children now and always. May God Almighty keep you safe resting in perfect peace till resurrection day, Amen.
Uncle, I still can't believe you're gone. Everything still feels like an illusion. I remember all the care, understandings and corrections you gave to me. The ways of the LORD we may not know, but one thing is sure, for he who dies in Christ we should not sorrow but indeed rejoice because he has escaped the sufferings of this world and has gotten redemption, for he is resting in the blossom of the Lord. REST IN PEACE UNCLE.
Death is inevitable, it is a journey that everyone must take. As humans we wish it wasn’t a part of life, we wish we would just stay alive on earth with our near and dear ones not dying forever. Unfortunately, we cannot. Our prayer is that we fulfill our days on earth before our time is up.
Uncle( with the Nigerian accent ), as we generally call you, a lot of memories I don’t know where to start from. You were a great uncle and a great father and you were so fun to be around. Always a chilled person with a warm smile. You were kind, hospitable, loving and generous, and we all loved you very much. You provided for your family and raised four children. You fought your sickness to the end and now you are in a better place. May the Lord be with you and with your spirit. I’ll miss you a lot. I remember the last time I was in Lagos and how you were always teasing me asking if I’ve shaved my beards and I was dodging you so I could grow my beards in quote. If only I had known that was the last time I’d see you. Your last words to me was “Be careful as you go out oo, come back safe” that was the day I went out with Sike to go get somethings for Dad, you knew I could drive but your care is always top notch. Always ready to advice me and direct me spiritually. The virtue I learnt the most from you is humility, wouldn’t want to go further, those that know you better know what I’m taking about. When I heard you were sick, I prayed for you but God saw that you were getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come with Me.” with tearful eyes, we saw you in pains. Although we love you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating. Hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes “The Best”. RIP to A Strong Man ❤️ Till we meet in heaven, You’re forever in our hearts. Bye bye Sir.
You have left this sinful world to rest with your Saviour. I never believed that you will leave so soon. You are a good in-law indeed. I could remember how you normally associate yourself with things that concerns the family, and your usual advice. You were humble, down to earth, easy going, and a man of peace. You were peaceful. People kept testifying of your humble disposition and lifestyle. The exemplary life you lived can never be easily forgotten. You were an hero . A great hero has gone home. Rest on in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ. Good bye.
It was difficult to come to terms with the news of your passing, but as they say, life happens and God knows best. You were very down to earth, always correcting in love and never quick to shout down at anyone. You were always concerned about the welfare of your members; I experienced this firsthand.
You're are always in our hearts sir, and your legacy will be carried on.
We take solace in the fact that you're with the Lord and we'll keep going with the help of God till we meet again in the morning just inside the Eastern Gate.
Our Pastor To God be the glory for the life you have lived You have done your bit and finished your course And since it has pleased the Lord to call you home, we have no objection than to say, let His name be glorified continually now and forever and ever We only pray that the Lord God Almighty will console the lovely family you left behind and grant them the abundance of grace to continue to the end in His service in Jesus name
Dear dad, it is still a shock hearing that you are dead. It is like a dream. I remember that day I saw you, I didn’t know that was the last time I will see you. Anyway, I know you are waiting for me in Heaven. Goodnight Dad. Elizabeth (Daughter)
It was a shock to me when, I heard my father was gone. It seems like a dream. Anyway I know you are in heaven waiting for us to meet you there. You were a king hearted dad. You cared for people and you had passion for preaching the gospel. Many people learnt from you. As we see the days’ pass by because you are in a safe place. Goodnight daddy, we shall meet to part no more Emmanuel (Son)
Dearest Dad, it is still a shock to me. I can remember the very day I saw you when you were going to the hospital, I didn’t know it would be the last time I will see you. I remember when you used to explain problems in mathematic to me. I also remember the advice you normally give to us every morning after the family devotion you were a kind, loving, disciplined and wonderful dad. Oh! so it is real. I miss you dad. I pray that God will fill the empty vacuum which you created. Sleep on dad, till we meet in Heaven. Esther (Daughter)
It is difficult for me to believe that my husband is no more. It is like a dream. I never knew those periods we were in the hospital were the last moments with you. You're a loving husband and a caring father. Every morning, when you were still alive, you usually helped to get our last child ready for school so that l would not be late to work while you were conscious of not going late to work too. Who will do that for me now? Well, who am I to question God, I humbly surrender to His will. You were an intelligent and hardworking man. You served God faithfully whether rain or sunshine you were always there for the Lord. You were dedicated and committed to the work of God. You worked for God even while you were sick. You were a true soldier of Christ in deed. My husband is not dead! He is sleeping in the Lord. While you were passing on to glory, you prayed your way through and told the nurses you were going home to rest. You have left a vacuum that only God can fill for the children and I. We will miss you, daddy but I know we shall meet you in Heaven someday, where we shall part no more. Adieu Pp. Rest in the bosom of the Lord. Your Wife Adebukola Odusi

The death of late Pastor LAWRENCE ABAYOMI ODUSI that struck the church on the 2nd day of April 2021 came suddenly like a thunder bolt out of the skies and left the entire church in utmost bewilderment!
Members of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Satellite District and the Location church have lost a rare gem and faithful Pastor indeed. His role in the church after relocation to Satellite Town, where He took up the mantle of Leadership as a Zonal Leader and later a Pastor of various Districts including Satellite District. Late Pastor Lawrence Odusi, so much humbles himself to the extent of granting an open door for all members to have easy access to Him. He personally assists the Zonal Leaders in the settling of disputes where necessary by ensuring that God’s name is not mocked. He took time at various times to re-train the District Leaders and encourage them to plan for the works ahead including introducing them to various church approved Literatures & Books in preparation for higher responsibilities, but we never knows He was prophesying that He would soon hand over to the prepared one. What a short life, as He emphasizes on this regularly, indeed Death is inevitable. He strongly believes in not laying hand quickly on anyone rather to always seek the face of God in everything.
We will so much miss Him for all the effort he put in ensuring that Satellite District Building is raised, renovated with Gallery, several prayers including Vigils with the Leaders. Unfortunately, He is not alive to witness the renovation He forth for all these while. He was unassuming and down to earth in his service to the Lord. His management style with His surbodinates for various projects to ensure that Satellite is not found on the floor rather on the Sky. rt 3
Pastor Lawrence Odusi, you silently made a great impact in the church. Your calm spirit and easy-going life will ever remain indelible! Your answers during Question & answer sessions after Search the scripture teachings have drawn a great mark which shall never be forgotten by all of us. He liked peace and harmony in the church and neighborhood.
Pastor, your death has created a big vacuum in the church. To the family, we say, take heart because it is written, “precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saint”. Ps 116 vs. 15. We will miss Him, but we hope to unite again in the bosom of the Lord. Rest in peace until we meet again to part no more! By Moses Nwator

I remember some years ago when you happen to be the Camp Commandant of the yearly Youth Programme and I was the Youth leader then, the burden of work was so much on me and there were few hands available to assist. Most of the leaders were not available, in my displeasure I lashed out at you but you kept your peace, never registered a frown or displeasure or the: "do you know who you are talking to"? How dare you! I was convicted by the Holy Spirit and I had to apologise to you; you meekly accepted it and that was the end of it. What a lesson in humility! I learnt of another incidence again, when you were ill your commitment never wavered as you kept on coming for meetings. In one of such I learnt you were openly rebuked before the workers and you never said a word! You never defended yourself, never wore a frown or put up an attitude of defiance. You meekly accepted the rebuke and carried on the work like a gallant soldier that should endure hardship. I cry to God that He gives me the same spirit of meekness in Jesus name! By Nicholas Imokhai
