Lawrence Wade Ellington, 66, a resident of 3122 Old Route 75, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Granville Medical Center.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Ewell Radford Ellington and Hettie Blanch Yarborough Ellington. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and retired from Nortel.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Floyd Jackson. Burial will be in South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem.
Surviving are a daughter, Loretta E. Ball (Wayne), a son, Ben W. Ellington (Tammy) both of Oxford, two sisters, Louise Delionbach of Durham, Christine Oliver of Rougemont, a brother Billy J. Ellington of Stem and three grandchildren, Kristy Ball, Brooke and Chris Ellington.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at the home.
