1 year today. I never gave it any thought that one day you would not be here with me. Each day goes by, and I wish this was all just a dream. But life goes on even though. Life is not the same, but it must go on for that is what you would want. You were swept away so quickly from me that I hope you are well and happy. The only thing I do know for sure each day is that our heavenly father took one of the best angels. He must of needed you for a special deed.
I miss you each second, every minute, every hour of the day. Until the day when we can be together again my love.
You always said " Live for today, do everything possible you want to do, Tomorrow is just a promise, and yesterday well it is done and gone"
This is what i do for you each day my love.

Love your loving wife

Happy Heavenly Birthday Larry, you're missed and thought of often. Tonight we will have seafood in your honor. One of the best meals I had was with you and our trip to S.C. Please give my Dad a hug for me, it's another Friday without him but he loved to celebrate with family, so he'll be there especially if there is cake! RIP!

I knew Larry when I was a new ensign. He was a very bright and ambitious HM1 at the time. Many years later we became acquainted again on Facebook and learned we both lived in Ohio. Larry was the best.

Laura and Tim,

Prayers and hugs are being sent to you during this sad time. Although we may not be able to be with you, I hope you feel the love being sent your way. Larry, thanks for the memories. Thanks for always welcoming me in to your home during random visits, thanks for showing us around Hilton Head and the area when you and Laura were living in South Carolina. Thanks for driving me back to I-75 in the dark so I wouldn't go around in circles. Thanks for the introduction to "turducken"... it was sure enjoyed that night by all!!!! Thanks for the beautiful wood cutting board that I still use regularly and will always remember it came from you. Thanks for always being so willing to put up with our crazy family. I know you are reunited with your Dad, Mom and sister and having a catch up, and give my Dad a hug for me when you see him. Rest in peace Larry, you will be always remembered fondly!

I remember meeting Larry in 1970 when this "fresh caught" MSC Ensign began his first assignment as a commissioned officer.  Larry, then, was HM1 Larry Oxford, a bright, ambitious young man.  He was a great help in my getting set up in my new Navy role.  A couple of decades later, as my wife and I situated in rural Ohio from the big city, Larry and I were reacquainted via the resources of Facebook, where we shared many of our life experiences and really got to know each other.

Larry, our acquaintance was much too brief.
