After serving in the Air Force, Larry came back to Green Bay where he met and married Margaret "Marge" Becker.  They began their life together with the birth of their daughter, Michele Elizabeth.  Michele was quickly followed by her 3 siblings -- Jessica Lee, Michael Lawrence, and Martin Richard.

Larry passed his love for adventure and the outdoors onto his 4 children, often taking them for walks in the woods by their cottage and teaching them about nature.  Larry also taught his children how to fish, hunt, sail, and most importantly, how to cling tightly to an old tractor tire tube while crusing behind a speed boat in the Bay.

Larry was and his sons are avid sportsmen, enjoying all types of fishing and hunting.  Larry has hunted white tali deer in Wisconsin, mule deer in Montana, caribou in Canada, and elk with Mike and Marty in Oregon.

Larry shared his love of art andinnate artistic ability with his daughter Michele who is a  talented and accomplished painter, photographer, and graphic design artist.  Larry's nature-loving ways, while strong in all his children, influenced his daughter Jessi to pursue a career in biology and later nutritional research.  Both Mike and Marty captured the essence of Larry's logical and self-taught qualities by becoming successful engineers and tinkering in mechanics (cars and motorcycles) and carpentry.
