Lawrence Scott Greene, known to many as "Scott" , was born in New York City. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Anne Greene. He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted father, Allan Greene and his loving and long-time companion, Beatrice Kidwell, his devoted sister, Jacqueline Greene, and Dr. Angela Seared, his soul mate and companion. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles and cousins in Connecticut, Flordia, Maryland, New York and Virginia,

Larry migrated from Amityville, New York to Chicago and Downers Grove, Illinois with his family. While there he attended Downers Grove High School and began his broadcasting on the school radio station. He was a saxophonist in the high school band which was selected to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

He was also a member of the fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha. He enjoyed music and videography . The family traveled to Southern California where Larry graduated from Kennedy High School and subsequently attended California State University Northridge  and Hollywood School of Broadcasting. He then began his career in news broadcasting where he remained happy and dedicated for almost thirty years.
