Uncle Kpesu

I feel truly saddened that you are no more with us. ...

A thousand words won't bring you back, I know because I've tried; neither will a thousand tears, I know because I've cried. ...

Treasured in my heart, you'll stay, until we meet someday again. ...

I can't hold the tears back.u remain the only one that his doors are allways open for any one,

I will always remember and cherish...

Going to Shasha for the Christmas and New Year holidays:

The trips to the Lagos Bar Beach.....

Every day was a feast.....Food was in abundance and everyone got served...

It was a delight to watch those Indian and American movies amongst so many other family members...

There were board games. We would race around the house..fun was endless....this and more we did every day as kids...until the holiday period is over.

Papa, if you did not open your home and large heart...the above would never had happened. We would never know the joy of a family reunion.

Had plans to visit and show some appreciation ...but heaven knows why it had to be like this. Surely you would be sorely missed. One last time, migwo papa!!
Rest in the bosom of the Lord.

Papa, though I have never met you, but I 've heard so much about you. your daughter (Isabella) always said how much she loves you , the love you have for her siblings and people around you. Indee you're a good father . I and Isabella planned visiting you early last year ( 2020) in Warri but the trip was later cancelled because you left for Lagos, that would have been a good opportunity to meet you. Papa,I know she'll really miss you, you have gone but never forgotten. May your gentle soul rest in peace

My Beloved Uncle,
You will be sorely missed by me, your little big rascal (smiles). Thank you Uncle for your intentional time with me and your words of wisdom freely given to me. Thank you for your caring hands and hearts on an extremely busy child like me. You will be sorely missed by this world and I am glad I now have another Angel in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

My Father! Where do I start from. Your departure have left a very big wound in my heart a wound that would heal with time but the scare will never go away. This cut me real deep so deep and all I feel is a sharp endless pain in my heart… I have asked myself over and over what could I have done differently to change the narrative. I loved you with every fiber of my being. I miss my everyday call with you. Our conversation starts with me on my side saying “ Papa Mingwo “ and your very enthusiastic “vrendo , Oborogheneruru how are you “ from the other side. My calls never took you unaware because you were always expecting it. If I don’t call in a day you called to inquire if everything was okay with me and rebuke me for not calling and making your worried thinking all isn’t well with me hence the delayed call. So I took it upon myself to always make that call every morning. Papa I did all I could within my knowledge and strength but it was all futile because the one who created you called your home and it is a call no man can resist. Oh my papa how I miss you that the thought of your demise sends waves of electric shock through my whole body. Oh my father how I love you. I remember when I was in secondary school I would ensure I left one set of my beverage to bring back home to you because you enjoyed taking tea with bread.
My last visit to you I became you doctor/ dietitian I placed you on a diet and exercise routine one that you took seriously and never missed a day… Oh death where are thy sting…..
Papa! the only parent my siblings and I had for the past nineteen years… my father was a good man. He opened up our house to everyone. As a child our house was a transit zone for every cousin, uncle, aunty and all manner of relatives. He cared for all his children no day will I call without you inquiring if I have heard from my siblings. Everyday you tell me don’t leave Oghenero. Oh your fatherly love carried all of us through thick and thin. I feel so exposed without you. I don’t know how to get through this because am so angry, am so pained, am so disappointed. My rock , my Papa rest well in the bosom of the Lord till we meet again.
I love you Papa! I love you forever!

Papa we will forever miss you... There was no one who shared love and showed care like you did, you treated everyone equally. You were a very big tree in the forest that can't be ignored. You built a family and a home for your wives, children, grandchildren and anyone who came around you. You worked pretty hard and invested so much in people and the society. I remember your last words to me, "Edirin, I no well o" and I replied "no talk too much, reserve your energy" little did I know it was going to be the last I will hear from you. My joy is you told me before you left in my dreams a week to your departure when I woke you up from the grave to a higher bed "make I rest" and to only find out my earnest prayer for you to give your life to Christ was answered as you rededicated your life to your maker prior and when I cried to God to keep you longer, the Lord only asked me what vision did he show me and He went on to say to you Papa "keep coming, I'm at the end waiting for you" John. 10:28 - And I give them eternal life and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
