Her Life
January 5, 2016

Leanne Patricia Greig Armitage aka LeeLee aka Leelers aka Banan was born in Red Deer, Alberta on July 10, 1982 to Mother, Linda Anderson-Armitage, Father David Armitage and Sister Pamela Armitage.
Leanne was outgoing and a force right at the moment of birth. She always had you on your toes and smiling. Wherever there was laughter, there was Leanne. Leanne and her family were very close. Even in hard times, there was no lack of humour and laughter amongst them. Leanne adored her parents and always spoke of how lucky she was to have such loving parental figures in her life. Her sister Pammy and her were often referred to as "special sisters" as their connection and bond was obvious, even through sisterly spats! They were always each others protectors and supporters, encouraging each other to do what they love. A very sensitive girl and woman, Leanne went through life with flare and spunk.

She had made friends from all over the world, many she considers family. She loved to travel, she loved to dance, she loved to create art and sew. But of her many talents and passions, music was the most loved and most important to her. She could spend hours listening to, making and producing or talking about music. She always looked out for others and was drawn to helping those who were misunderstood, hurting or feeling alone. She had the ability to communicate with children and was thrilled with her interactions with them.

She held D’Arcy Smallenberg and Cole Sisson  close to her heart hoping to spend time with them in 2016. She truly was an earthbound angel. She will live on in all the hearts of those she touched. As a family we are grateful for the lessons her journey taught and continues to teach us including forgiveness and unconditional love and support. As a person always there to help in any crisis Leanne often forgot to regroup and reenergize through rest and meditation. Her intuitive and empathic abilities often overwhelmed her and she would end up in the place where she could support those in need. She was a lifesaver to many and beacon of hope to her family and friends.   She is at peace. She is happy. She is with us always. A light like Leanne's can never fade. We love you Leelers.
