Happy birthday, son. Yes, I know it was yesterday. I still miss your infectious smile and the happiness you exuded. God had a different plan so we accept that, and I look forward to seeing you on the other side.

I can’t believe its been 8 years since you left us, i know you are up there singing with the youth, gone too soon but never forgotten.

Happy birthday, Junior! Gone but not forgotten.

Seems like yesterday when we last spoke and I vividly remember your promise to come visit soon. That never materialized but I know in my heart your desire was sincere. You taught us all what compassion was all about and, for that, I will forever be grateful. Miss you tremendously and think of you often.
Much love, Mom

Hey Big guy, Happy Birthday!!! I'm sure you're smiling on us today and I wanted to celebrate the time you were here with us by wishing you a happy birthday. It's been an eternity it seems but yet it feels like you were here just the other day. You were a beacon of humanity and represented all that is good in the human spirit. You always carried yourself with dignity, decency and honor, which sadly is lacking in our society today.

Thanks for the lessons about the value of life that I am now realizing and to treat people with love and honesty. You are forever missed Learie.

Love always, Nick

I always looked up to and admired Learie. In high school, He was a senior and good friends with my brother, and I was a freshman. He was always very kind to me and looked out for me. He and I watched Michael Jordans first dunk contest together over at my house and he stayed the night and we ended up watching it over and over and over again, as I recorded it. We were both really big fans... such a great person to be around ....God bless you my friend....

Hey my dear brother, remembering today is a very special day. It's the day the Lord decided to share your loving spirit with the world. Remembering you on this glorious day of your admittance to this world. Thank you God for bestowing such a beautiful light to us and allowing us to bask in its glow for 42 years. The flame may no longer be visible to our naked eye but still burns strong in our hearts. Love you always and will see you again one day.

Can't believe it's been 6 years. Feels like it was just the other day I heard the words "love you baby brother". It's still surreal to me that you're gone from this physical world. Sometimes life just has no answers to your questions other than faith. I know you are safe and among the stars and that provides much solace. Till that time when we meet again.

Love Nick

Wow, it's been 6 years, and it still only feels like yesterday. Junior you will always be loved and missed, but never forgotten. I know that you are in Heaven still teaching and continuing to be a Blessing to all those around you. You keep on doing what you're doing up there, and we will see each other again on that Beautiful Side of Glory where you are. Love you baby and miss you.

Dearest Learie, Happiest of Birthdays to you! Today I open my eyes to a bright, sunny and glorious day, here with my kids and wife. I will carry forth with an overly positive attitude in this day and look to pass the blessings of your spirit on to all I encounter. Today is your day to live among us. You were a beautiful spirit and individual inside and out and are sorrowfully missed. Continue to look over us with your indelible smile. Love is eternal and keeps the world in motion.

Love you big bro, miss you and hope to see you some day...

Four years seems like forever. I do think of you and the great and loving person that you were. You are continuously missed in this world as we consistently experience the realities of the lack of compassion and care that people exhibit in this day and age. We are too often reminded that life is taken for granted and often carelessly wasted. That is a frustrating thing when I know that you spent your time on earth enriching the lives of others. You are missed and remembered fondly on this day big brother...

Love and peace always

I only found out today about Learie passing. We worked together at Family Arts Forum many moons ago. We weren't close but I remember what a great spirit he always was. He saw the best in everyone and everything. If only I could leave half the legacy he has left, I will be content. He is truly with the angels. I raise a glass to Learie Corbin, never to be forgotten. X Louisa

Junior I can remember you as a young little boy, already making people laugh and feel good, at such a young age. Now 43 years old today, Heaven is rejoicing with you, as you sit at God's Feet and continue to be a Blessing to all around you. I miss you and never will forget you.
Posted by Oonagh Bell on August 30, 2011
Today, dear Junior, you would have been 43 years young. You truly were a blessing to all of us who knew you and I know that you are comfortably resting in the arms of the Saviour with no more pain, no more troubles, no more worries. Sleep on, my son, until we meet again.

My mother always told me as a baby the only one I would go with other then herself was my brother Juni. Even to the exclusion of our father. It shows the trust and understanding of the fact that I knew he was a good person from young.

It was my pleasure to meet up with him again in 2000. To see he had grown into a gentleman who loved his family and friends and humanity alike. I love u Juni. RIP

Learie was a great man and mentor to all of our youth. He was compassionate, giving, and always there when you needed a helping hand. Learie and I worked on many projects at MS 143 and he will be truly missed by me and my family. He truly lived a purpose filled and driven life. May God bless and grant you a peaceful journey. Until we meet again, my friend.

I grew up always hearing about Learie Corbin Junior and how much I look like him,how nice and sweet he was. I never met him physically and it hurts my heart. But I have spoken to him on numerous occasions enough to know he was a sweet and blessed person. He was always thoughtful and sent yearly postcards which were unique. To me we had a special bond. He will be deeply missed. Love u JUNI.lil sis

Learie Corbin was a good man. He was convicted and passionate about the important issues. He was a great father and friend. Learie was not afraid to be old school and he recognized that shaping children's lives was the most important endeavor that anyone could undertake. My friend you will never be gone. I love you my brother.

Learie was not only a brother but a dear friend who never left a conversation or time we spent without saying "I love you brother". I'm truly sad that I didn't have the chance to say goodbye.
