Lee Roy Dean, 79, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away suddenly Friday, March 6, 2015 at his home.
A native of Granville County, the widower of Janie Wheeler Dean and the son of the late Thelbert George Dean and Clarice Beal Dean. He was of the Baptist faith and farmed most of his life.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Dexter Baptist Church by Rev. Wayne Clark.
Surviving are five daughters, Jackie Matthews of Coats, Donna Cassell (James) of Henderson, Barbara Bomar (David) of Brookneal, Va., Cindy McGhee (Ricky) of Oxford, Vickie Williams of Bullock, a son, Richard Lee Dean of Bullock, a sister Virginia Dean of Stovall and thirteen grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2015 from 12:30-2:00 PM prior to the service at Dexter Baptist Church and at other times at the home of Virginia Dean.
