62. Wow that's old as dirt; Happy Birthday. Wonder what you'd be up to these days. Tough year for the Borgeson family. I know Lars is missing you right now. Aidan is lost and I don't know what to do. Wish you were here.

Leif, your birthday was marked by us all lifting a glass, wherever we were. We miss you and love you still.

I miss you pops. I miss all the memories we could've had. Having a beer after a pow day, wrenching (just like you loved), seeing your sons and wife grow, grieving Toy, just relaxing after a hard day. Memories I will always miss. Hope you are ok wherever you are. I Love you.

Leif and I were working to change NSP to EMT's to make people who wanted to make EMS their careers. We tried and as people passionate about our visions.....I am very sorry to lose a very good medic, friend and the memorial that FFL did for him, will never bring him back. My son Brock passed in 2015, I came to A-Basin and left stickers and the Patrol donated to my son's memorial. The gang at the Basin still had bands on their unis for LB. FFL did a fly by for Brock's memorial, as he always mimicked me during avi deployment training since he was 10 years old. i wish your family well and Leif was awesome man and I cherish the times we had, terry

Hi Leif! It's 2019 and you are 58.
As you can see Aidan is turning into a coffee connoisseur as he tunes skis at the basin:). Ian is loving fly fishing while rafting the Upper Colorado.
He shared this with your mom, Aidan and me this past summer.  We met Paddy O and Karen at the take out that day in August. How cool was that?!
This fall Lars, Julia, Ian, Aidan, your mom and I spread you and Borg in Utah in places you and your dad had visited. A beautiful memorial and the boys loved seeing these places....... How I loved the Moki Dugway in the bus years ago:))

Leif...we talked when the phones went down or I was on a flight and needed to get info about snow conditions for the day. It was always a treat to NEED to pick up the phone. When you were in Aspen skiing, I was in the islands still doing snow reports. Oddly, I was planning to return to Summit County but ended up in Aspen. I so often think of you being here that day. You are missed...just to let you know the guys at A Basin have kept up pretty well. I know that would make you happy. Miss you.....and I DO look UP at those mountains here in Aspen and I never forget you.....

Remembered yesterday but a hard day! Dado is with you now so we look to the heavens knowing that you are together! Miss you both so very much!!

Hiked up an inviting chute at A-Basin last week and happened on his memorial bolted to the rock. Looks like he was good people.

9" in the past 24hrs at the Basin today. Reminiscing on days long gone when I saw you at work; your beard always looked like an icicle. Ski in peace dad! I did today.

Interesting that this came up right now... 2 days ago I finally broke out and skied my "new" Borgy tribute skis that have been in barn for years, waiting for good snow. 
I think of you often. Being here in Flag, I bump in to folks that know you and your family, often.

Dealing with some booger-eaters today boss - and thought of you. Cracked a smile...

Don't know why I was thinking of Leif today...but there it is. I visited this site nearly five years ago when I read the news of his passing in the O'Gorman HS alumni newsletter. Leif and I were debate partners and good friends. I have fond memories of tooling around in his VW bug, backpacking trips, and laughing together until our sides hurt. I hadn't seen Leif since high school but I am so grateful to have seen on this site what a full and beautiful life he had. He was one of those rare souls you are most fortunate to have known. I still think of Leif which I can only hope is of some comfort to those who loved him.

Thinking about you a whole lot lately. Especially today pops. Shred in Peace!

I will never forget Leif.

I did not know Leif but he sounds like a man I would have loved to been around and get to be his friend. My Mom died on Feb 2 and my Brother birthday is Feb 3 but Passed away March 15,2013.  I will keep Leif's memory alive but telling people about him and his work. God bless all his loved one.

I came across this site while doing some online research. I never knew Leif but was touched by this wonderful tribute to the man and his life. The pictures say it all, he looks like a man who enjoyed his life and relationships with friends and family. I feel I would like to have known him in life.
